Rooms in bad need of repair!

Rooms badly need fixing! Marks on the walls, rusted lamp and rusted bathroom drains that didn’t work, hair dryer that went on and off, discolored tile caulking, no soap or shampoo in shower, only at the sink, and more. Certainly not worth $250 a night plus city tax! We were there for one night, and when we checked out, and listed our complaints, we were told just “My Apologies.” And then asked why we didn’t let them know at check in so we could change rooms! We’re we supposed to inspect the entire room on check in?!? No offer of lowering the rate, just a rude attitude. Never will stay at a Novotel again!

Very pleasant stay

Excellent last minute stay due to flight issues getting home. Staff were friendly, helpful and understanding, really could not have done more for us in our situation.
Rooms were spacious, smelt nice and clean. Beds were comfy and facilities in the rooms were great.
Only minor improvements in my opinion to make our stay even better, kettle in room instead of just coffee machine hot water (gets hotter in a kettle for teas), normal breakfast tea in room and a robe would have been nice.
Would highly recommend!!

Very average airport hotel

Poor standard compared to newly renovated Novotels. The hotel badly needs a renovation, especially the rooms and corridors. Room sink was blocked and badly stained. Bar and restaurant only opens a 6 pm. Breakfast is available in the restaurant until 10am. No shuttle service offered. The bed mattress was excellent....

We are glad to hear that you appreciated our comfortable bed, which is an essential aspect of a good night's sleep.

However, we are sorry to learn about the issues you experienced during your stay. Our hotel is due for a renovation, which is planned to take place from September 2023 to June 2024. This will address the concerns you mentioned regarding the room and corridor conditions.

As for the bar and restaurant hours, we appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration for future improvements.

Regarding the shuttle service, we do offer airport transportation through an external partner called CHECK-IN ALLWAYS. We apologize if this information was not clearly communicated to you during your stay.

Good value for money. Good connection to the airport and city center

Excellent location just outside Zurich near the airport. Good transport connections and we boarded a tram from just outside the hotel to Zurich City Centre. Excellent views enjoyed on the tram.

It's just 1 min away from tram station...the staff were very helpful and polite, in particular Front desk- Mohammed was Superb! Children playing areas are good

Not really a 4 star hotel

The room was OK, and the bed comfortable. However:
- air condition blows directly on you and is difficult to manage. There is only a thick blanket and no single fitted sheets, which makes it difficult to manage temperature
- light curtains were too short to block the light
- there is no restaurant on site, and the hotel does not do room service. The bar is only open from 6pm Services on site are minimal, but there are some restaurants and supermarkets at walking distance
- there is no shuttle to the airport. A cab fare will set you back 26CHF (flat fee), but there is a tram (4CHF) almost in front of the hotel
With his experience, I would book a hotel next to the airport with all services. This is cheaper, but not as good value when you add up everything.

We are glad to hear that you found the room comfortable and the bed to your liking. Our hotel is indeed conveniently located near a tram stop, which makes it easy for our guests to access the airport and the city center.

However, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the lack of an on-site restaurant and room service during your stay. We do have a GourmetBar that serves a variety of dishes and is open from 6 pm on weekdays. As you mentioned, there are also several restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance from the hotel.

Regarding the airport shuttle, we do offer a shuttle service through an external partner called CHECK-IN ALLWAYS, which can be arranged for our guests' convenience.

Lastly, we appreciate your feedback on the air conditioning and the curtains, and we will take it into consideration as we strive to match all our guests' expectations.
