Not really a 4 star hotel

The room was OK, and the bed comfortable. However:
- air condition blows directly on you and is difficult to manage. There is only a thick blanket and no single fitted sheets, which makes it difficult to manage temperature
- light curtains were too short to block the light
- there is no restaurant on site, and the hotel does not do room service. The bar is only open from 6pm Services on site are minimal, but there are some restaurants and supermarkets at walking distance
- there is no shuttle to the airport. A cab fare will set you back 26CHF (flat fee), but there is a tram (4CHF) almost in front of the hotel
With his experience, I would book a hotel next to the airport with all services. This is cheaper, but not as good value when you add up everything.

Thanks for taking the time to comment on your stay at our hotel.

We are glad to hear that you found the room comfortable and the bed to your liking. Our hotel is indeed conveniently located near a tram stop, which makes it easy for our guests to access the airport and the city center.

However, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the lack of an on-site restaurant and room service during your stay. We do have a GourmetBar that serves a variety of dishes and is open from 6 pm on weekdays. As you mentioned, there are also several restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance from the hotel.

Regarding the airport shuttle, we do offer a shuttle service through an external partner called CHECK-IN ALLWAYS, which can be arranged for our guests' convenience.

Lastly, we appreciate your feedback on the air conditioning and the curtains, and we will take it into consideration as we strive to match all our guests' expectations.

    We are glad to hear that you found our location convenient and appreciated the easy access to the tram station right next to the hotel. Our connection to Zurich Airport and the city center is indeed one of our key features, and we are happy that it made your stay more enjoyable.

    As for the check-in time, it is set at 3 PM to ensure that our housekeeping team has enough time to prepare the rooms to our high standards. However, we do offer express check-in for guests who may need it.

    Double-bed with sofa-cum bed room sizes are very small. You hardly get space for walking. Food options were fine. They could learn some basic manners and hospitality. I got a call at 11:30pm when I was sleeping to come down to reception immediately and pay the tourism tax of CHF 5 per person. I requested them that it's too late can I pay tomorrow as it's not a big amount, however, the reception told to come down immediately and pay. Very bad hospitality and poor customer empathy. Firstly this should have been asked at the time of checkin only. Secondly, this is not the time to call a customer and disturb privacy.

    Avoid this hotel.

    The location of the hotel is perfect , close to the airport with the tram station just outside. However the restaurant was closed and it was difficult for us to get lunch or dinner. The rooms and bathrooms are old and run down and needs renovation. The staff was friendly but Hotel not upto Novotel standard .

We understand that our facilities may not have met your expectations, and we would like to inform you that a full renovation is planned from September 2023 to June 2024. This will address the concerns you mentioned and ensure an improved experience for our guests. As for the restaurant, it is temporarily closed on weekends, but we hope you were able to enjoy our GourmetBar during the weekdays.     Checked in and, after settling in, realized that the AC was not functional. TV is not working, and the fridge is not working. No help. Management clueless. Have stayed in other Accor properties and this was the worst. Restuarant not operating as per timings nor the bar. The voucher received could not be be used. Rude Restuarant staff.

    Priceline said breakfast was included, but the hotel said they did not have that information. The front desk staff in the morning was very rude and refused to provide breakfast despite us showing breakfast included with our reservation documentation.
