Just back from a week staying at this lovely hotel. Great facilities and lovely, helpful and friendly staff. We stayed in an Executive room and were very pleased with everything the hotel had to offer. The Executive Lounge offered complimentary afternoon tea and complimentary drinks served early evening. Several lovely pools with plenty of sun beds in beautiful surroundings. The beach club offers water sports and a water taxi to Valetta. No beach as such, but the lovely pools more than make up for the lack of it. Excellent restaurants and bars. An altogether great place to stay. Would certainly like to go back and highly recommend.

The recently refurbished Hilton Malta is a lovely hotel in a great location with friendly, helpful staff. Just 20 minutes from the airport (a 20 Euro taxi fare), the hotel overlooks the sea and is close to many shops and restaurants in St. Julian.

Our sea view room on the 7th floor was bright and airy, with a comfy bed, tea and coffee making facilities, and everything else we could want.

There were plenty of choices for breakfast. The egg chef deserves a special mention - always cheerful and proving that men can multitask after all! I was impressed that the plates for the cooked breakfast were warmed as I have had many a buffet breakfast that was stone cold by the time I sat down to eat it.

Wifi was fast, reliable and had good coverage, even around the 4 - yes 4 - outdoor swimming pools.

The large, well equipped gym had a spin studio and dozens of exercise classes scheduled during the week. There was also an indoor swimming pool, steam room and sauna.

All in all, a very comfortable stay. My partner was attending a conference, so I made full use of all the amenities and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We went for a relaxed night out at the quarterdeck bar. The panoramic view along with a cool summer's eve made for a terrific evening. Parking was easy at the Hilton's car park. Prices were very reasonable and great, quick excellent service. Recommend it for a lovely special occasion.

We spent months deciding where to stay in Malta. This is a great place. I did not give it five stars as that has to be perfect (thank you Ritz Carlton) and this was very good. First, we had a reservation for a higher price through trip advisor. I wrote and ales, since it was our wedding anniversary, if they might upgrade the room, but was told no. After some clicking I discovered that if you join Hilton Honors, certain things like wifi are free, so I did. This also dropped the room price. Beware, if you request an upgrade, it means you agree to pay more for the upgrade, not that they have space and bump you up to a better room.
I ordered fruit, cheese and proseco for our arrival, all of which were presented in a lovely way. The desk staff never once wished us happy anniversary, but housekeeping did! The housekeeping staff here are Rock stars! Always kind, always saying good morning, always leaving you presents. See photos.
We were in a "relaxation suite". These are larger rooms with soaking tubs big enough for two. But beware: you are right over the maintenance driveway, and though you face the sea, it is where the public enters to walk there, and young people party put on the rocks until late. Luckily they moved us to a higher floor, but that is where the suites are located!
The hotel is so large there are several pools, one closest to the sea just for grown ups. Pool service can be spotty but the good is excellent.
The Blue Elephant restaurant is very nice and had great food, but I must add that my husband got food poisoning the night we ate there. The Quarterdeck Bar is GREAT. Best drinks in the area. Quiet and well appointed.
Lastly do pay for an executive upgrade. That gives you free breakfast on the ninth floor and the warmest staff next to housekeeping.
With only one concierge, the hotel desk staff should have more knowledge, like how long cabs take to major attractions. And again, just one "happy anniversary" from them would have gone a long way to five stars after a weeks stay.
