“Fabulous cottage, beautifully appointed, extremely cosy.”
Reviewed 4 April 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Try Cariad is a sensitively-restored, beautifully-furnished cottage in a fabulous location. We had a very relaxing week, chilling out in the lovely lounge in front of a log fire and surrounded by lovely artwork and a comprehensive library of paperbacks.

With Aberystwyth, the Hafod Estate, the Vale of Rheidol , the Teifi valley and the Elenydd on the doorstep; this is a perfect location to enjoy the best of Mid-Wales. Also the Cwtch Cafe in the village is wonderfully friendly.

“Gorgeous inside and an amazing setting”
Reviewed 11 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We had such an amazing week at Ty Cariad – with non-stop sun! Every day was cycling, walking or climbing, which both kids were really up for (including going up the ‘mountain’ behind the house in our pyjamas to watch the sunset. 5 year old’s idea!). We didn’t even have to go to the red kite feeding centre (although did for a mountain bike ride), as a pair of them spent a good hour flying over the garden. Another highlight was a tour with Cambrian Safaris, which we recommend. We certainly didn’t do it all, so will be booking again sometime.

“A cozy gem in the Welsh hills...”

Ty Cariad is a wonderful cottage, cozy, spacious and very relaxing. The sitting room gave us plenty of room for 4 adults to curl up in front of the wood burner of an evening, with very chilled dogs at our feet! the kitchen is a feat of genius...great steam oven and the most space saving dishwasher I have ever seen! The whole cottage feels so 'homey' due to the owners collections of vintage china and kitchenailia. Her artwork is also rather stunning!
Yes, the turn in from the road is tight but we had 2 estate cars and got in and out with no problems. Wi Fi and Sky TV were welcomed by the 'chaps' and the signal was excellent.
All in all a first rate self catering cottage that makes you feel at home straight away and rather sad to leave!
