The whole twilight experience in the stunning Waipoua forest is nothing short of magical. The Huge Kauri Trees stand tall above the canopy while our guide transported us back to a time where legends were created. We loved every seconds of it!

We had an amazing experience at Tane Mahuta with Bill, our wonderful guide. He made our visit truly an experience to remember. The beautiful Maori greeting, the flute and the karekia were incredible. Plus the knowledge he showed of the ancient and beautiful kauri was fantastic and we all learned a lot. We all felt very insignificant next to the King of the Forest. Thank you for a wonderful tour.

Thank you for a wonderful evening in this special forest and its guardians. The Maori songs and greeting of Tane Mahuta showed the reverence these majestic trees hold. What treasures.

Merepaea our lovely and spiritual guide together with her delightful grand-daughter Waimarama, provided my husband and I with an unforgettable Twilight walk into the Waipoua Forest. Merepaea and Waimarama approached the ancient trees with traditional chants and prayers. A highlight of the walk was our meeting Te Matua Ngahere "Father of the Forest" and sitting in the twilight silence to contemplate the wonders of the forest. Merepaea's knowledge of the forest and her reverence for it made this a truly wonderful experience. A not to be missed experience.

Thank you Merepaea and Billy for taking our staff (All the way from Auckland) on the tour. First time for the majority of them and being part of Nature, Te Wao nui was a big eye opener. Detailed information and very staunch to tikanga which was beautiful to witness. Loved our little visit from the Ruru on our way out from Te Matua o te Ngahere. Authentic experience of how important our ngahere is. Great opportunity for any school to send their tamariki or staff.
