Excellent service from polite and professional staff. Both the food and drinks were excellent. We look forward to returning as soon as possible.

Disappointed
We were looking forward to our Burns Night supper, we've been before for Burns Night at the Blue Cap and had a great night. Sadly this year was a different experience. The food was not the high standard we've come to expect. The crab & avocado salad looked like oily crab paste with bits in, the venison was supposed to be medium rare, but was way over done and like eating rubber. I chose the Eaton mess for dessert, which tasted and looked like a shop bought meringue nest with some pink stuff that tasted of nothing in particular, with a couple of raspberries on top. The saving grace was the haggis, that was tasty even if the whisky cream sauce was almost cold. They also didn't have a piper this year. Won't be back next year.

We came for a birthday celebration and have been many times in the past, as always your staff looked after us so well, a big thank you to Emma, we were 6 adults and a baby and the service we received was. first class and food excellent

The food the last two nights has been brilliant and Mary has been extremely helpful! We’ve tasted a good variety of the menu between us all.

I wanted to say a big thank you to Stacy and team for accommodating me and my work colleagues on a very last minute requirement for a work space solution. I have just spent the last 3 days using one of the function rooms, in which the room was clean and tidy and we had fresh tea and coffee already set up ready to welcome us (which was especially nice in this weeks cold weather!). The room was private and it was flexible for us to set the room up to our requirements.
We pre ordered lunch each day in which a table was already ready with our drinks and food, which was such a nice touch! The food was delicious and service was great and of high standard, the staff were very welcoming and friendly and could not do enough.
I highly recommend the blue cap for if you are in need of some work space with a nice lunch to break the day up.
My work colleagues were very impressed and Stacy and team have really helped make our change in plans very smooth and we have had an enjoyable few days, thank you very much!
