I love an old country pub just like this one! We called in for Sunday Lunch without a booking but they squeezed us in. The place as a lot of character, with a number of rooms and a really rustic look. Check the specials menu as I had a really tasty salmon salad that was only available that day. The only gripe was that there could have been a bit more meat on the Sunday Roast but apart from that we really enjoyed our visit.

We hadn’t been to the Blue Cap in years and wanted somewhere different to go for mums birthday. What a little gem, the food was amazing. The staff were all incredibly friendly and efficient. The young lady serving us is an absolute credit to you, such lovely service. We will definitely be back!

What a gem of a place! The service here is brilliant. All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming, especially James behind the bar! The food is fresh and faultless. I would happily recommend the Blue Cap to anyone that wanted a great meal, great drinks with a great service. This has become our new regular on the weekends. It’s always busy so I’d recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment! However they do their best to accommodate! As always, we’ll be back :)

Had a last minute meal tonight at our local. Really excellent service and the food was delicious.
