Amazing Setting overlooking the swan river this is where the ‘good looking’ people go to have dinner in Perth.

Staying with family in Perth our relatives were very excited to take us to this restaurant.

We had pre dinner drinks on the sofa’s before being shown to our table. We were lucky enough to be only one table back from the river view and for the majority of the night the table in-front of us was vacant so we could look out at the Perth skyline.

We shared a couple of starters between the four of us, as appears to be in the way in AU! We’ve discovered.

My wife and I order the Beef cheeks, which when they arrived were large portions. Now it could be a difference is cooking styles between the UK and AU, but in the UK Beef cheeks are traditionally slow cooked until the meet is soft and tender so you get the flavor of the meat and all the fat has melted slowly into the meat.

This was not the case in the boatshed, I could have done with a steak knife to cut through it and there were still ripples of fat running through the meet making it hard work to enjoy.

We went for a meal to celebrate a friends 50th birthday and what a lovely surpise it was for us all as none of the group had dined here before. From the moment you walked in the door with attentive staff to guide you to your table and a very good menu to please our palates. The meals were excellent and the service the same, I will personally have no problem visiting here again. My congratulations to the staff and management on presenting such a lovely venue, Steve Kolody

What are you going to do when walking along the South Perth foreshore if rain suddenly threatens?
Here's a plan - walk into the lovely Boatshed restaurant and ask for a seat near the window for you and your friends.
Then ask for their wine list, and try either their sauvignon blanc from Margaret River or their cabernet merlot from the same region.

You've time to savour the bouquet, admire the colour and sip it quietly while admiring the view until the rain passes. The view takes in all the river from the Narrows Bridge to Heirrison Island, with the city in the background from the freeway interchange to the Causeway bridge approaches. A lovely view of a lovely river and city.

The food is good, too. Scout it all out with a view of coming back for dinner to admire the view of the city lights across the water.

This place fitted the bill for us after a very long walk around the picturesque waterside. The view was interesting, the service was friendly and I liked the Lime tart.

Went to the Boatshed restaurant for lunch today (Wednesday 22/08/18). On arrival we were impressed by both the restaurant's presentation and welcoming staff. We were given a table by the window with panoramic views across the Swan River to Kings Park, South Perth and Perth City.
For our meal we started with an entree of Garlic prawns with chorizo. The prawns were perfectly cooked and the flavours of the dish delightful.
For mains we had the market fish (shark bay saddleback snapper), potato frites and salad. We asked to have our fish grilled and this was done to perfection.
A delightful meal accompanied by a lovely Yerring Estate Pinot Noir with views to die for.
