We spent a week at Ford Old Hall Barn (28 Aug-4 Sept 2015) with our two teenage daughters and had a lovely time. We wanted a relaxing week after being busy with work and exams and that is what we got. The property is in a lovely private location. We had no cooking to do on arrival as we were greeted with a lovely homemade chilli and bottle of wine. We were also provided with some beautiful homemade bread and enough pastries, jams, milk and eggs to last us 2 or 3 days. The barn is fully equipped with everything you would need and the hot tub was just lovely. Lynn and Nigel were very helpful and we returned home feeling well rested - thank you It was our first visit to this beautiful part of the country and hopefully won't be our last!

This is a 5 star holiday accommodation Lynn and Nigel have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. We loved the meal on arrival and the home made bread was to die for. The hot tub is a great place to soak away the aches and pains after walking and cycling. We will be back!!!

“Fantastic Barn and Wonderful Hosts”
Reviewed 10 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We loved our stay in this beautiful barn, which has everything you could possibly wish for, and much more. Lynn and Nigel have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as you could dream of. We really appreciated the lovely meal and wine on our arrival, as well as the delicious bread and jams. After our busy days out exploring the lovely local towns and attractions, we looked forward to relaxing in the wonderful hot tub.
Our girls (aged 8 and 11) thoroughly enjoyed their time here and had terrific fun at the Trentham Monkey Forest, Peak Wildlfe Park (just down the road), Pooles Cavern and of course Alton Towers (15 mins away). We are missing the barn and all of its luxuries very much, and hope to return in the future.

“Perfect”
Reviewed 27 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

This has to be the best self catering accommodation we have stayed in, Lyne and Nigel have provided a luxury cottage in a beautiful setting, sitting in the hot tub watching the sun go down after a day in the peaks was perfect. Dinner on arrival with wine, home made bread and jams, and homemade cake have set Ford Old hall Barn out in front, it will be hard to find self catering accommodation that comes up the standard Lyne and Nigel have set. We would love to return and explore more of this beautiful part of the country .
Thank you :)

“Wonderful Barn”
Reviewed 4 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Myself, my husband and our 2 year old stayed here for 3 nights. The barn was beautiful and had everything we needed for our stay. Lynn and Nigel were very welcoming and as soon as we arrived they were showing our little boy the chickens and cows on the farm next door which he though was brilliant! nothing was too much trouble for them during the stay.

The meal on arrival was a lovely touch and the home made bread was yummy, our little one loved it, we thought the ginger cake and chocolate on departure was also such a thoughtful gesture. The Barn is done to an excellent standard and really has everything you need, and the hot tub provided was great for relaxing at the end of a busy day.

Although the weather wasn't great we still managed to get out and about with trips to Ashbourne and Leek, the monkey forest is a must for anyone with children our little boy had a great time watching all the monkeys roam free.

We would highly recommend the barn and look forward to visiting again, thanks Lynn and Nigel.
