Non-smoking restaurants are a rarity in Italy so thank goodness for this one! Restaurant is well laid out & very nicely presented with fabric tablecloths & napkins. Our waitress spoke very good english & was happy to help us with unfamiliar words on the menu. The menu was not huge & there was not a lot of variety really, but the service was quick, the food was very tasty, pasta is freshly made in-house, the meat was super tender & we loved very bite. The only drawback - & this is a personal thing - was the dog at the table next to us. When we arrived, we were told that there was going to be a small dog at that table but he wouldn't be any bother. The dog was huge though, & constantly put his head on the table (theirs, not ours). I have to say that he was well behaved & I realise that this is a european thing, but I still find it distasteful to have animals in restaurants. It amuses me to imagine what would happen if someone brought their cat - a dog/cat fight in the middle of dinner might be entertaining but probably not what you bargained for!
