Located in a tiny village named Orsanvenzo, in the middle between Lake Orta and Valsesia, surrounded by hills and mountains; it seems to be a popular area for mountain biking as saw lots of bikers around; honestly I had never trip that area before and if it wasn't for this restaurant, I would had never do it...
We were welcomed enthusiastically; luckily reserved in advance and a table in a corner was waiting for us but as people kept coming (with and without reservations) they decided to
open the terrace (mountains view) and we were offered a new table which we highly appreciated.
As starters we had slices of black pudding, a fish quiche with fruits (really fish tasted) and lard (8.00); homemade tagliatelle, gnocchi with sausages and some triangle shaped raviolis filled with asparagus (24.00 all 3), all dishes were freshly made, delicious, tasty but a way a bit salty. As dessert ordered a panna cotta (3.50), nice. The all (wine, bottles of water, tea) spent less than 50.00, reasonable priced.
Everything went as expected; as wrote by fellow members is worth the drive up there but remember (and recommend) to reserve. Will go back.
