This restaurant is from my area of origin and whenever I come back I just need to visit it.
It situated on a nice hill that gives you great views of the surrounding arounds.
Food is just amazing
There is no menu, the waiter will come and will tell you in fantastic details what the fantastic chef cooked today.

Everything is prepared with local ingredients and according to the tradition, and it just tastes delicious.
Portions are large.
When I go here we feel like we are customers but we are family. Respect and kindness at the same time
A true Gem.
Go with confidence even if you don't speak Italian, they will be able to accomodate and explain the dishes for you

It was a great experience!!
We loved the food and the service was so nice: the perfect balance between friendly and professional.
The location is great, not super easy to reach (mostly because the GPS took us the wrong way up), there is an easy way (despite slightly longer).

An authentic and beautiful place with delicious food. We came a bit late and unannounced for lunch bit this was no problem. Very friendly service. Recommend the antipasti. Worth a big detour 😊

Located in a tiny village named Orsanvenzo, in the middle between Lake Orta and Valsesia, surrounded by hills and mountains; it seems to be a popular area for mountain biking as saw lots of bikers around; honestly I had never trip that area before and if it wasn't for this restaurant, I would had never do it...

We were welcomed enthusiastically; luckily reserved in advance and a table in a corner was waiting for us but as people kept coming (with and without reservations) they decided to
open the terrace (mountains view) and we were offered a new table which we highly appreciated.

As starters we had slices of black pudding, a fish quiche with fruits (really fish tasted) and lard (8.00); homemade tagliatelle, gnocchi with sausages and some triangle shaped raviolis filled with asparagus (24.00 all 3), all dishes were freshly made, delicious, tasty but a way a bit salty. As dessert ordered a panna cotta (3.50), nice. The all (wine, bottles of water, tea) spent less than 50.00, reasonable priced.

Everything went as expected; as wrote by fellow members is worth the drive up there but remember (and recommend) to reserve. Will go back.

We were recommended this restaurant by Massimo, the owner of our lakeside B&B Al Dom in Lake Orta, as an authentic Italian restaurant. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Angela who saw us to our table on the top floor. Everyone was most attentive and Norman helped us in our choice of wines as we particularly wanted to enjoy a Piedmontese wine. We had several hot and cold antipasti made in the locality followed by wild boar filled ravioli, a local speciality. We ended with panna cotta which was one of the best we had tasted on our two week holiday in Lombardy. The setting is beautiful, not surprising as it is an old hunting lodge. The views from this vantage point are amazing. We were able to exchange a few words with Serena the chef who obviously has a passion for what she does. Well worth the drive up there, highly recommended.
