Overall: It was ok for the price I paid but the breakfast wasn't very good and the room was very basic but overall it was ok for somewhere to rest your head after a busy down up in the snow or walking around the villages. There is a bus 10 mins walk from this hotels that only cost 3 euros for a return.

We booked this as we were driving in the mountains and had nowhere booked. We didn't get a balcony room as stated, and there was no hairdryer as stated. The lady on reception was very friendly though, helped out with an extra towel, bedsheet and hairdryer. She also recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner, that exceeded our expectations. Her husband that also works there were very friendly. It was also a good price. Unfortunately I didn't have time to use the pool and sauna, but if ever in the area, will stay again.

Overall: budget hotel but not priced as such. Room on back side of hotel had lots of road noise. Breakfast was mediocre (especially the coffee machine, which could just not make a decent cup no matter what setting)
Worst though was the WiFi, which none in our group could get to work reliably.
Pictures make it look a lot better than it does in person.

We were not too impressed with this hotel. It is priced at the top end of the budget hotel range, but budget hotels are generally better.
What was good: the bed was comfortable, the parking is plentiful and convenient (shared with the supermarket), the town isn't too far (15 mins on foot for the new town).
What lets this hotel down: Maintenance... it's run down, things aren't working (like the front door), the AC in our room, the curtains falling off their rails, very poor room lighting...
We were glad we were only overnighting, we wouldn't have wanted to be here for a week.

Suite Home Briancon Serre-Chevalier was OK as a value lodging near Briancon. We travelled off-ski season, and many of the hotels were already closed for the summer. The price was reasonable. The décor could be described as corporate. It was simple with not many frills. We did enjoy the in-room water pot which allowed for making coffee and tea in the evening and morning. They (strangely) did not offer hand towels and we had to use the bath towels at the sink. We had a sufficient quantity and quality of hot water in the shower. The toilet was not the best at evacuation, but holding down the flusher helped. The only bathroom amenity offered was soap. The mattress was tired. There were only two outlets available in the room, which did not offer much charging capability. The lady at reception had reasonable English, and was helpful. Cleaning was OK, but could be improved. It was quiet, but we stayed in the off-season. There is a grocery store in the same complex as the hotel and a bakery very close. Breakfast is offered at an additional fee. There is an adjacent restaurant, but it was not open. There is lots of free parking outside the hotel. The old town of Briancon is less than a mile away and offers many interesting restaurants. It worked for us, but I would look for a more interesting lodging if we returned.
