Poor service and rundown facilities

2.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 28 Aug 2019via mobile
Service at the reception was harsh and French skills required. The building is a bit rundown except the recently renovated rooms. Room size is fine for single person. The so called balcony of the room is in poor shape and faced towards the unpleasant inner court parking area. Note to cyclists. The bicycles are kept in the garage which is not very practical to access and not particularly secure.

All staff speak English. We have renovated all the rooms and now we are starting facades and balconies. As for the bike garage, in the hotel's secure car park, it is locked and open for every guest request.

Correct hotel, nice treatment of the owners, very quite and tranquile site in the most central place of the city.
Parking inside if required. We will repeat with no doubt and is already in our private agenda.

It’s a shame the rooms are that poor when the staff are so lovely. The rooms are that hot you have to sleep with the door open with -13 degrees blaring in there’s no inbetween. The walls are paper thin, and need modification

The hotel is clearly in an older building but various renovations still make it OK. The room despite being very small was adequate and quiet. The bathroom had been recently renovated and was very nice. There was a nice view from the window on the surrounding mountains. There was wifi in the room. Parking might be a problem but there was room in an inside courtyard. Breakfast was simple but OK. Very nice and helpful staff. The hotel is about 500 m (uphill !) from the Old fortified City

It is a nice little hotel. The rooms and bathroom are tiny but clean and look recently renovated. The breakfast is also simple but you get everything you need. Also the stuff is very friendly. For a two star hotel it is absolute fine and it is a nice place to stay.

Well for value for money I’m not sure how you’d beat it! The newly refurbished rooms are perfectly adequate for a couple and all our ski gear! Bathroom done nicely, spotlessly clean with a fantastic shower. We had a balcony too. Only complaint I can possibly find is bed was a bit hard. Room made up every day, towels and bedding provided.
The owner was such a nice man who went out of his way to chat to us about our day. He was there from 8 am at breakfast until 10pm at night and worked really hard, even calling the lift for us when we came back exhausted from the slopes!
Breakfast is basic but perfectly sufficient, the croissants are huge! Ham and cheese, bread, jams, yogurt, etc. Could have done with some fruit!
Location to slopes is a short 5 min walk up the road to the Prorel cable car, there’s a good Apres bar there too with live bands on at 5 pm! If you’re looking for a cheap, no thrills place to lay your head whilst your not on the piste - this is it !
