the tomb built for the twelfth Emperor of the Nguyen dynasty, vietnam. It features a blend of vietnamese architecture with western styles.i visited this place on 6 September, that time, i rented a car with driver for one day trip, this place is the second stop. i stepped in Tam Quan Gate first. it is typical of a traditional entrance in ancient Vietnamese architecture. the gate’s pillars are Indian style,it is an example of the mixture of Vietnamese and Indian cultures. after that,i reached Nghi Mon Area and Bai Dinh Yard. there are many statues of royals, warriors, horses, and elephants.i took some pics with them. then,i headed to Thien Dinh palace, this place, with the ceiling and walls decorated with murals of the Four Seasons, Eight Precious Objects and the Eight Immortals. Below, there is a gilt bronze statue of the King Khai Dinh. after visiting,i bought a key chain of imperial jade seal as a gift.

Unmissable for the mosaics in the room of the tomb. Can’t believe the amount of wasted skill and energy that went into these.

We visited several Tombs while in Hue, and this is one of my top three. Its hard to pick one as my overall favorite, because they were all different. This one was more compact than the other, and very ornamental with so much detail. The actual tomb was breathtakingly beautiful. Highly recommend visiting this tomb while in Hue.

We didn’t do this as part of a tour and we got a grab taxi to this site which was a 20 minute drive from the centre. We spent 30 minutes here and would have spent a bit longer if it hadn’t been so hot.

This was our favourite place in Hue and what an impressive place. When you arrive you walk up some stairs to the tomb at the top and the dragon carvings on the stairs are beautiful with so much attention to detail and a great view from the top. We loved the guardians on either side guarding the tomb - in addition to the guards, there are also horses and elephants. The tomb inside is absolutely stunning with the most impressive mosaics throughout. Such a remarkable place and definitely worth a visit.
