We have been here as a first destination of our journey to Hue City. Overall with grand architecture of tomb as other king of Nguyen Dynasty. We have paid 100,000 for 10 minutes of visiting that was over price for historic place in Vietnam. Compare with Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum where would paid for 25,000 Dong.

Situated approx 10km from Hue this is one tomb not to missed, one caution to reach the tomb there are total of approx 130 steep steps not all at once but at different level,as you climb to the first level there are sculptured dragons running the length of the stairs,on the next level there are a number of sculptured figures and horses. On reaching the top just take a look at the surrounding country side before exploring the tomb area. Built between 1920-1931 the tomb area is highly decorative, plenty of colour, check also the decorative ceiling, there are a number of information boards around the site with English translation

Khai Dinh was reputed to be a pawn of the colonial French – and he taxed his people heavily to finance the building of the elaborate edifice.Very nice iron-works art around
the tomb area.

This is the grandest of the Royal Tombs around Hue. It was for the final king (before the one who abdicated in WWII). It is quite steep on many levels, so be prepared for steps. Beautiful decoration.

This was one of the three tombs we did with our guide.
Nine kilometres from Hue. Again steep steps leading up to the tomb and lovely views out over the valley.
The tomb was built for the 12th King of the Nguyen Dynasty.
He was not a popular emperor, he actually increased taxes by 30% to pay for his tomb, which was deeply influenced by the French and their style of architecture.
It's very opulent with a lot of ceramic mosaics.
