Of all the tombs in Hue, this is the one which stood out for me. The mosaic designs in the inner section was like none I have ever seen before. "Mosaic on steroids", is what came to my mind.

My favorite architecture iv seen in Vietnam! Probably bc I'm obsessed with the gothic architecture found in Europe..what an awesome setting and ride on motor bike from Hue..
Khai Dinh is the last of the Nguyen emperors to be burried in Hue, only Bao Dai rest outside of Vietnam.
It is very different than most of the other graves, as it is relatively small, and the architecture has some European influence, hench Khai Dinhs studies in Europe.
The toms itself require climbing lots of stairs, could be heavy on a very hot day, but the reward awaits you at the top: a mosaic Chamber, several items from his period as emperor, lot of Pictures from his funeral, as well as a stunning view over hills, jungle and rice paddies.
Together With a visit to Ming Mang and Tu Duc; a must when visiting Hue.
My absolute favourite of the tombs. Spectacular interior and its set in beautiful green rural vietnam. Dont miss this one!
This one is a fascinating mix of French and indochinese architecture, with an interior tastefully quilting pieces of pottery almost like in the Taj Mahal.
We went to this tomb and to the one closest. We couldn't agree which of these two we liked best. They are quite different in the architecture. After walking up the stairs there is a beautiful view from the top.
