this tomb is incredible, you can see the obvious wealth this ruler had. From the statues, to the building to the imposing stairs as you enter. Inside is beautifully adorned as well

Very interesting tomb, combination of Nguyen dynasty royal and France. The only tomb without lake or pond around.

The exterior of this tomb is a bit ordinary, but once you get inside, you will be totally dazzled by the finest example of Vietnamese broken ceramic mosaic art I have ever seen. Really astounding and definitely worth the visit.

this tomb is small, we spent less than an hour visiting it. However, it is definitely the most gorgeous tomb among all Hue royal tombs.

I was told by the guide at the Citadel that Vua Khai Dinh was gay. That explains the lavish, out-of-the-norm architecture of his tomb. He spent his last years living planning and building this tomb. I wish they put more info around this place. Perhaps more historical information about the emperor's life.
