A wonderful one-bedroom apartment with every facility you could require for a stay in the fascinating city of Penang. Spotlessly clean, fully equipped with even a washing machine so you can pack very lightly. The bed is comfortable and the two bathrooms have all amenities, even pool towels. Food and drinks were generously provided to welcome us to the property.
The apartment is very convenient, about 1/3 of the way from Georgetown to Batu Farringhi on a newly-reclaimed area of land. It is situated in a very smart complex above a shopping plaza with a number of bars and restaurants. The nearest supermarket is around 5 minutes walk, with a larger one about 15 minutes walk. There is a lovely swimming pool on the premises - much time was spent relaxing there. There is also a small gym.
The hosts were wonderful and even collected us from a nearby hotel on the day of arrival to save us finding it by taxi. They were very easy to deal with and very obliging. We are already plannng our next stay!

Even in the first few hours after we arrived for a 3-week stay at this condo, we found ourselves amazed at what the owner had provided: not just yogurt and eggs in the fridge, but among other things, olive oil, vinegar, a full set of seasonings, plastic wraps, cooking sheets, a shopping bag (for Tesco and wet markets) and an extensive selection of DVDs.
And then we discovered that there was also a printer/scanner and office supplies in the very practical room-length desk/drawer in the bedroom. This was when our minds were officially blown.
Also, the cleaning lady, Sum, was very resourceful. She was able to solve a problem with the cable TV while Shinta was out of town.
The bus stop (for 102 that goes to the airport) is right in front of Straits Quay, which allowed us to take the bus to Komtar with luggage. The bus stop for 101/103/104 is in front of Tesco.
