Magnificent hotel. The views are to die for. Staff are super helpful and friendly with nothing being to much trouble. The hotel shuttle was very convenient and assisted us getting around. The hotel grounds were immaculately kept and lush. The rooms were not much to write home about but were nice all the same. Michelin star restaurant in house and another separate bar that served food was very handy.

we stayed for 4 nights in May and had a great time, the hotel is beautiful, with fab views across the bay. It can be difficult to find a modern (ish) hotel in Italy and this was perfect. Breakfast was lovely, with a selection of pastries, scrambled eggs and cereals.

we ate on at the bar terrace a few times which was lovely. I would recommed getting the bus from the airport as this is only 10 euros and if you ask the driver he will drop you off right by the hotel, a taxi is 100 euros! The station is about a 5 minute walk and is 4 stops about 10 mins into Sorrento, this is the quickest and best way to get there.

Would recommend.

Spent a week here returning yesterday. The hotel is beautifully positioned and the small garden down to the entrance is beautiful. Their grass is incredible! Okay, so it was a very good deal but my friend said "I bet we get put in an broom cupboard at this price" And we did! The room was seriously small and the bathroom was the smallest EVER! In order to get to the loo, you had to open the door, stand to one side, then close it and shuffle round! Very 2 star in size actually. The bed was plenty big enough but too firm for our liking (but we coped) - the pillows were awful until I asked for some softer ones (a little better). The drawers in the wardrobe had no spacing between them so they jammed - do get a decent carpenter to sort them out Angiolieri.!!!! The TV had a mind of it's own and would either not come on, or suddenly burst into life in the middle of the night. It was also very small but nmo matter. They do have SKY at least. On the plus side, the room was very clean, quiet and the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. I particularly want to say a big thank you to Armando - he was lovely. The breakfasts were only adequate for a 5 star hotel - we are too used to all these amazing hotels in other places that have egg stations. smoothies made to your liking, every conceivable kind of bread and pastries/cakes, etc etc.The coffee was nothing short of appalling!!! Quite revolting and so strong, it put hairs on my chest! Of course I told them it was terrible, but they did not go out and buy a better brand. Just tried to make it more palatable by bringing hot water to knock it back. Yuk! When the weather finally picked up, it was very nice to sit outside on the high terrace for breakfast with the lovely views. The little swimming pool is a pleasant enough area to have a break for a couple of hours. We did not have any of the 'bar snacks' as thought they looked very poor value but on our last evening did eat in the 'L'Accanto' restaurant (same place as b/fast) and had a very good meal beautifully presented and very much enjoyed by us all. The free shuttle bus service was a godsend as they picked us up from the local train station if we phoned when departing Sorrento (10 mins down the line) or dropped us off to catch a train, drive us into Vico Equense for the hairdressers or a meal on 3 occasions. We really appreciated that. My only criticism is that geographically the hotel is not best positioned for the now extremely busy Amalfi Coastal area so it's a bit of a performance to visit Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, Capri, etc. The best way is to have a car and driver to take you down the coast to Positano - Amalfi - Ravello, as you will struggle to get on the local buses from Sorrento and certainly find it impossible to get a seat to return! A very comfortable Mercedes offered to drive us back from Positano to Sorrento for 60 Euros and between 4, it was well worth it. Visiting Capri is fairly easy as there are constant ferries from Sorrento Port across to Capri and back. Enjoy your trip

We spent eight heavenly days at this hotel and loved them. We had a room with a balcony which hosted a view of Mt. Vesuvius and about a 270 degree view of the Bay. It was perfect. We lounged there for hours, enjoying the breeze, the view, watching the weather. The room itself is very nice, beautiful ceiling, floors, comfortable bed etc. The bathroom was large and the towels and soaps were very nice. Also, the wifi worked remarkably well throughout the hotel. It never seemed slow or spotty. We did not have to login with passwords or room numbers. It was seamless, which is a relief. There is an evening turndown service where your room gets re-freshed. This is not super important to us, but was nice when we had dirty towels -- and who doesn't need extra chocolates on their pillows?

A few points that I would improve upon -- remembering that we were there for eight days. First, our bath did not have a stand up shower, which takes some getting used to. Definitely ask to make sure you get a shower. The TV was very small and English stations were few and tended to be largely Christian-themed. We could not get International CNN for example. Also, remember eight days, the room could have used more hooks and shelves to hold various accoutrements of travel. These seem like easy changes without a lot of expense -- hooks on the back of doors to hang coats, bags, etc.

The breakfast is amazing. Great food, beautiful setting, etc. The management service is very good. In particular, Mario and Giovanni were lovely, warm, helpful. Giovanni provided us with a wine tasting one evening which was very interesting. We went to the well reputed restaurant but were not impressed. The service was impeccable, but the food, while adventurously described, was not fantastic. We felt like they were trying to be fancy for the sake of fancy, but at the cost of quality and flavor. The bar, on the other hand, had very reliable more down to earth options and is also a terrific setting with a view of the sunset.

Aside from the view, the hotel is nicely situated. We were about 500 meters from the train station which took us to Napoli (Naples), Sorrento, and Pompeii with ease. We had a car rented for a week, but probably could have done without it. The hotel shuttle took us to Vico Equense the slightly larger town across the Bay which had a few more restaurants and shops. We could also walk about 1/2 mile down a set of steps to the beach, which we did.

Our priority when we travel is to relax and enjoy privacy. This hotel provided that abundantly. While we had cordial conversations with other guests, we did not feel like we were at Disneyland or a professional conference with people asking a hundred questions.

Room Tip: Ask for a stand up shower. Pay extra for the balcony!

I'm looking over the Bay of Naples at Mt Vesuvius from my veranda, killer view. Staff is so friendly and helpful. The Wifi is very sketchy. It is very hard to find an outlet to charge your devices. Massage was half hour late. Downtown Vico requires transport, not much within walking distance. Great base to tour the Amalfi Coast, Herculaneum and Pompeii.

Room Tip: Get a view of the bay.
