We spent a week in this apartment in Aug, a couple with two young kids, and had a wonderful time. The apartment suited us fine, with a comfy sofa bed in the lounge and bedroom with double bed, and a pretty garden with plants and trees that the kids could explore and we could enjoy a bbq in. However, the best part about the property is its location - literally right behind is a wonderful playpark, basketball court, and stunning river setting with picnic tables and plenty of room for the kids to run around. Another block away, over the old historic bridge is another even bigger park, and down the road only a couple of minutes' drive was a lovely secluded part of the river one could swim in, under the shade of beautiful trees.
Within just a few minutes drive you have the river that separates Portugal and Spain to admire or swim in, with beachbars nearby too, and the sweet little town of La Guardia. Doing the drive up the hill by the side of La Guardia/A Guarda is a must do, as the views are absolutely amazing, as is the short ferry trip over the river to Portugal.
We enjoyed hopping in and out of Spain and Portugal, enjoying stunning medieval villages only 30 minutes away on the Portugese side, and lovely Galician coastal roads and the beautiful town of Baiona not far away.
We found the location and price of this apartment excellent and would highly recommend it.
