“Excellent cottage”
Reviewed 19 July 2018 for a stay in July 2018

We have rented many cottages in Cork and Kerry and this was certainly one of the best. Spacious, comfortable and excellently equipped (my wife was particularly impressed by the many hooks-she has a thing about hooks). The WiFi was also excellent. The grass area by the stream was ideal for sitting and reading in the sun and the satellite TV enabled us to watch World Cup matches and Wimbledon. Don’t miss Kells Bay Gardens, Rossbeigh strand and Cromane beach - all within easy reach.
Our thanks to Caroline and Joan for their welcome and helpfulness.

“Wonderful stay.”
Reviewed 25 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017

We had a wonderful stay and the cottage sealed the trip for us.
The little stream at the back and all the homely touches made the stay that much better.
Well equipped, clean with plenty of space ,comfortable and warm.
Good location, The Red Fox 5 mins drive away with the Bog Village good food and very nice Irish Coffee.
Good local pubs in Glenbeigh and Rossbeigh beautiful beach.
The Ring of Kerry a must drive so much to see.
Killarney national park a must see .the walks are beautiful and you don't pay for parking.
Sneem is a lovely village great homemade ice cream and a good fish and chip shop.
Killorgan had all our shopping needs butchers , fish , Aldi etc... With a good kitchen we were able to sample Kerry potatoes with mussels at home .
Local food excellent.
Joan was very nice and really helpful. Thank you.

“Well positioned cottage for visiting the Ring of Kerry and surrounds”
Reviewed 18 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

In fact the cottage was just off the busy main road but was not affected by noise. Well equipped, comfortable bed, however, the shower was poor. We could have done with instructions on how to use the heating, this would have saved us phoning Joan. It would also been handy to have some advice notes on local amenities, walks and useful telephone numbers etc on hand in the cottage - perhaps we,have been spoilt with others holiday properties we have visited previously. Enjoyed meals at The Towers Hotel. Managed to do some walking despite some inclement weather. Muckross House is worth visiting. The Gap of Dunloe is also very dramatic

“Beautiful quirky interior, modern exterior”
Reviewed 6 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Sitting on the Ring of Kerry, this house offers every amenity for the keen walker and tourist. Positioned as it in right on the main road which circles the county, it provides ideal access either way on the road around Kerry, and indeed onto Dingle on the other side of the peninsula.
Best local places to visit are Valentia Island, which is a calm haven from some busier points on the Ring. Caherseveen provides some interesting architecture, history and lovely wine at the converted church-now an Italian restaurant.
We walked from Derrynene House all around the coastline and returned for tea and cake at the former home of the great Irish statesman, Daniel O'Connell.
Friendly locals, lovely pubs and brilliant beach only minutes away. Glenbeigh offers all of this, with a modern, well positioned house as a base. Ideal!
