This property was so enjoyable. It was warm and cozy. We had plenty of space to spread out and relax. The kitchen was very well stocked. The large sectional couch was a great spot to spend the evening by the fire. Nice woolen blankets from the local woolen mill kept us toasty. We spent New Year's Eve at this great house.

We met Finbarr, the owner. He was so accommodating and wanted our stay to be perfect. He suggested many local attractions. The Foxford Woolen Mills, in the neighborhood, is a beautiful place to visit and take home a special woolen piece. This property was great for touring other parts of County Mayo as well.

The only problem with this great house was that some days we just didn't want to leave. Thank you Finbarr for a wonderful place along our Irish journey.

“Irish Delight!”

My husband and I chose to stay at The Granary as part of our honeymoon trip through Ireland. We are so glad that we did! What a fantastic change from the many hotels we experienced on this trip. FIrstly, the owner and the property manager made it easy to reserve the property, pick up the keys, etc. The property is spotlessly clean and amazingly well equipped. When Myra (property manager) came to meet us, I felt as though we were staying with a long lost friend rather than meeting a property manager. She was extremely welcoming and helpful. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and the kitchen was simple to navigate and made cooking breakfast a pleasure. There is a very comfortable couch/fireplace set up in front of a large television. It was extremely relaxing to put our feet up and feel at home while on vacation.

The property is well located within walking distance to restaurants and pubs. We had a great meal - by the way - at the Mayfly Hotel restaurant. Although we weren't in Ireland to do any fishing, the property sits near the River Moy and many people come from afar to fish this river. Beautiful!

Do yourself a favor, make this one of your stops on your County Mayo adventure. :-)

The Granary is Foxford is the most delightful holiday letting I,ve stayed in in Ireland. It is so well equipped ,with kitchen equipment, linens ,entertainment, WiFi ,books and DVDs. Easy to find and a few minutes stroll to the beautiful Moy riverbank, restaurants, shop and takeaways. We used it as a base to go fishing with local guide Kenny Sloan and had a couple of days at Mount Falcon shooting clays, archery and falconry. The people of Foxford were very nice and I am looking forward to staying there again.
