This superbly situated house, with a truly fabulous kitchen and dining area, is equipped and maintained to a very high standard. It is located in a part of the peninsula that has not been over-developed and has more of a real feel and charm than some areas to the west of Mount Brandon. The majestic beauty of this peak, as noted by many reviewers, is a constant awe-inspiring presence for those in the house, and Ballydavid Head, the Three Sisters, Wine Strand, Brandon Creek, and the Saint’s Way, are all within easy reach by car. Also, within a fifteen-minute driving radius are such ancient cultural treasures as Gallarus Oratory and Castle, Riasc monastic site, Kilmalkedar church, and an amazing ancient stone fort, Cathair na BhFionnurach. The house itself is filled with natural light, is scrupulously clean, and the geothermal heating is wonderful to have when the weather turns cold. The owners, Danny and Linda, are warmly personable and available while never intrusive. My wife and I had a very relaxing and rewarding 9-day stay at this outstanding property and highly recommend it.
Lovely house, lots of space outside....perfect for children...nice quiet location and house well equipped...highly recommend it!
We are a family of four and we spent a week in 'Country Cottage' at Easter time 2 years ago. It was so comfortable, spacious, clean, well equipped, bright and with such a wonderful view we were delighted to book it again this year. Dingle town is a short drive away. The house and it's location lends itself to lovely walks in the beautiful, peaceful area. Danny and Linda are so welcoming and great to give advice if needed. Our dog loved the enclosed garden. 'Country Cottage' is a home away from home and a very relaxing and cosy place to return after a day sightseeing. We look forward to returning again at a future date.
We had a great time in the house and on the Dingle peninsula. The view from the kitchen is stunning. The house has excellent facilities. Everything was first class and we particularly liked the sitting room with it's comfortable settees. The large, enclosed garden was very convenient for our dog - lots of space to chase his tennis ball.. Danny and Linda were very helpful and made us feel very relaxed in the house.
We would definitely come again.
Arrived for a ten day stay - what a stunning place, situated in the valley between Mount Brendon and the sea. The house was spotless and really well equipped and nothing was too much trouble for Danny and Linda. Such a brilliant area for walks, whether beach or mountain, and the pubs are perfect for sampling Dingle gin (gorgeous) or proper Irish Guinness! Tigh TPs became our favourite, sitting outside on the sunny veranda, amazing for October.
