This place looks lovely in the pictures, but in reality its so much nicer. We travelled here with family ranging from 17 to 7, which always provides a struggle to keep everyone happy.

Not in this case as this house is so nice that even when it lashed rain on the first day everyone was happy to sit around and play board games and watch movies (Roman Holiday). On the second day the fog cleared and we saw the stunning views for the first time which were worth waiting for.

House is spotless with loads of room so even with 8 people it wasn't cramped. Adriaan and Catherine were very welcoming.

Also on Hallowe'en week there's a lovely festival in the town which the kids loved.

Top marks all round, I can't find any faults. To say we had a great time even in the lashing rain is an achievement in itself! Can't recommend enough.

“Incredible home in an amazing location”

I visited Ireland with my husband and my family to celebrate my dad's milestone birthday. We decided to base ourselves in Kenmare for a week so we could explore the Ring of Kerry + the Ring of Beara easily. We had no idea when we booked quite how wonderful the location would be or how gorgeous Dromard Villa would be in person. This property exceeded all of our expectations and left my family in total awe.

The property itself is absolutely stunning. In truth, the villa is more magical in real life than the photos can capture. Everything is modern, with the perfect touches that make the space luxe but cozy all at once. We woke up to stunningly green views and deer in the front yard. There are four bedrooms, all en suite which makes it easy for families or couples traveling together. The kitchen is fully equipped (I wish my kitchen at home was so lovely!) and great for anyone wanting to cook in for a couple of nights or enjoy a few cozy breakfasts at home. The living room was our favorite, with a cozy fireplace - we played games by the fire a couple of nights during the week and had an all-around amazing time.

If you're looking for a great location on the Ring of Kerry, Kenmare is it. We drove through many of the towns on the Ring of Beara and Ring of Kerry and we found Kenmare to be one of the best locations of all. It's right at the nexus of both scenic drives so it's a great home base, but isn't quite as built up as Killarney which lends a bit more charm. Dingle is within easy access, too. There are many great dining options in Kenmare (it's surprisingly loaded with fabulous options) and we loved dinners at Packies and The Mews during our time there.

All in all, I can't recommend this place enough to anyone looking for an amazing spot in County Kerry. Everyone in my family was so grateful for the experience and the hospitality. A gem!

We wanted to visit Kerry for sometime, so this year we found the property and looked forward to our holiday. We can safely say that this house was spectacular in ever form, we wanted for nothing it was definitely home from home, great view and totally relaxing. If you want to tour Kerry we as a family of seven would totally recommend you book this property, we will be coming back to Kerry and will not hesitate to book again.

Regards

Andrea and family.

“Truly beautiful large home in perfect location for touring Kerry, Cork, and southwestern Ireland.”

Dromard House is as advertised: a luxury villa in the town of Kenmare. Dromard is NOT a typical vacation rental; it is a beautiful large home, beautifully furnished and equipped with top kitchen appliances, comfortable elegant furnishings, great location, and a stunning view.
The house was immaculately clean.

The location is private yet very convenient to Kenmare and a perfect point to see the Ring of Kerry, the Beara peninsula, Killarney, Dingle, and other spots in Kerry and Cork. Slightly longer drives will take in much of the southwest and west of Ireland. Most vacations include a fair amount of drive time, so it is especially nice to come back to a spacious home to relax. American visitors will appreciate the modern large grocery store just down the road, and there is quality dining in Kenmare town, which is a very short drive or a medium walk away.

Arrangements with the owners were quick and easy. We truly have nothing but positives to say about Dromard House. For a modest premium over the cost of a run-of-the-mill rental, you can have a beautiful home base for your time in Ireland.

“State of the Art House and Service”

A group of 5 gents spent a weekend golfing in Kenmare. The house proved a perfect base for playing 4 rds of golf in the local area. The house is in immaculate condition with the highest quality furniture, equipment and the owner provided an amazing service. We brought some food stuffs and ancillary food items for our breakfast and evening snacks. This was not required as everything you could want/imagine was available courtesy of Adriaan. He even had some sausages, rashers, eggs, yoghurt and OJ for our first morning to set us up. The Ryder Cup was on the weekend of our stay and he had Sky Sports installed so we could watch the golf (at NO extra cost). The views are spectacular, only a short spin to town and his restaurant recommendations were superb. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable stay and as a seasoned traveller some of the best customer service I have received. Thanks for the hospitality Adriaan and hope to avail of your dream home soon.
