“Perfect house in perfect position”

The house was well maintained with everything that is required for both short and long stays. We had an 8 week stay so really gave the house a test. Assistance from local contact was very prompt when dealing with a couple of minor issues. The only slightly negative comment i can make is there was only one bathroom and toilet which was a little difficult with 6 people in the house.
Location of house was perfect with all shopping, transport and restaurant facilities a short walk away. Drive to town centre was only 5 minutes and out to the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District was around 15 minutes.

“Good Place to Stay”

Two ladies in their 70s and one of 50 on a trip to the Derbyshire Dales to explore, and boy did we explore!!! So to be able to come "home" to a place that was spacious and clean was exactly what was needed after a long day on the tourist trail. Lots of room, comfy beds, clean and lots of hot water for the long soak in the bath after long days out. Chesterfield was felt to be a good location in case weather was bad and needed shops for shelter. However the sun shone on us and we did not need the shops but did them anyway!!! Well its what some women are born to do. Chesterfield is a great base for discovering everything there is to discover in this area. The owners of the house were very helpful during booking process and we felt we could contact them at any time if needed. If I had to give a downside, I can only say it is the downstairs bathroom which is not a problem in itself, unless you are sleeping in the attic. If you are, my advice is set off to the loo a while before you need to go (ha ha). Other than that, great little house.

“Very comfortable”

Spotless and comfortable place in a great location. Well insulated and nice and warm. Plenty of room for two families each with a toddler. Steep stairs so needed to keep an eye on the toddlers to avoid accidents. Great location about 5-10 minute walk from a large Morrrisons supermarket. There's also a nice footpath for walks/jogs by a stream and small dam 5 min walk away.

Walking into town takes make 25-30 minutes and there are some nice open air markets. The beautiful Bakewell, Matlock and Hardwick Hall area each less than a 20 minute drive away.

Stayed at church view for 7 nights 21-28 of December 2013..first thing we noticed was how clean the house was..has everything for a comfortable family holiday! Nice & warm, comfy beds, nice fluffy towels, good size tv..my 9 year old absolutely loved the attic room!! Close to morrisons supermarket and plenty of cafés,restaurants and takeaways and only a 5-10 minute drive into lovely chesterfield..it was Xmas week so we didn't venture out far other than to visit family in the area but having been born in chesterfield I have to say its a gorgeous little town!! Will Definately love to stay at church view in the future, thank you so much.. We Definately recommend!!

“Pre Christmas Getaway”
Reviewed 26 December 2013 for a stay in December 2013

From initially enquiring about the property to the actual stay the service received was second to none. Sri was very prompt in replying to my email request and gave very clear and concise information about how the holiday letting process would be undertaken. The property was immaculately clean and very well equipped. We were a party of 6 adults and there was plenty of room for us all. I had travelled back from Canada and my husband had come from the Middle East to meet up for a pre Christmas celebration with our two older children and their partners. The property was a real home from home with everything we needed. Fran, the lady that looks after the property for Sri must be commended for keeping the house spick and span. My only regret is that Fran is not able to come over to Canada and provide the same service in my own home.

The property is very well located. It has easy access to the Peak District National Park, the M1 motorway and has the convenience of good shopping within walking distance. There are plenty of eating places close by if you preferred not to cook yourself. Although there was no designated parking for the property this was never an issue and we was always able to get a space just outside of the house.
