I stayed at Terracotta Court, which is based about a 5 minute walk from the train station and very centrally located for shops, bar cafes and events that go on. A supermarket is just across the courtyard. The swimming pool is not that far away and is open in the morning very early especially during the week. I was there for the walkers are welcome festival that takes place early in September. The kitchen is very well equipped and the flat is quiet and peaceful
The apartment is situated in the centre of Bradford-on-Avon, within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, the river, and lovely pubs. There is a Co-op literally around the corner where you can buy all the groceries etc. you will need for your holiday.
The apartment is quite spacious and well- equipped. When you arrive and leave you can park by the Co-op for a short time to unload/load. There is no dedicated parking for the apartment. We used the station parking lot, which is about a 5 minute walk away.( Park in Zone B). It is free at night from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. And since we were out most days we did not need to pay. But on the one or two days we did leave it there it was not that expensive.
Bradford-on-Avon was also a great place to travel to other places in the vicinity e.g. we took the train to Bath one day, and had a great day there. Another day we took the train to Bristol and had a great day there. Another day we drove to Castle Combe - a MUST SEE - wonderful village - where War Horse, among other films, was filmed.
Bradford on Avon is a lovely place and this property is perfectly situated in the centre...but that also means there is nowhere for you car and there are a lot of steep hills to walk up and down and down and up when unloading. Granted you may not have as much stuff as us but it is hard to even stop to drop a few things off - everywhere I tried, kindly people warned me about the risks..... But once inside, there is plenty of room and the hosts are very accommodating; so when you have to do it all over again to move out, remember it's been worth the effort!
Fantastic apartment, great location in the centre of Bradford On Avon so close to everything it has to offer. Yes you do have to park away from the apartment as it is very central, but as others have mentioned you can unload right next to the Co-op and then go on to find a space.
The apartment was very warm and comfortable for our stay over the New Year, I really can't think of anything that was missing in terms of facilities and homely comforts available.
We loved Bradford On Avon, there is so much to do and the train to Bath and other local villages was very handy.
We did the Avon Canal and River walk which was lovely and we would highly recommend the Bunch of Grapes just up the road for food.
Really enjoyed Bradford on Avon and Bath. The flat was a perfect place to stay, thank you. We recommend the breakfast and the blueberry and clotted cream ice cream from the teapot cafe downstairs.
