Visited this beautifully restored cottage close to Bradford on Avon and Bath for brief walking and sightseeing break, with my wife and son. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you could want for and more, and parking is on-site and easy.
Location is perfect for visiting Bath and the local towns and villages, which was particularly important to me as I was looking to find the place that I was born...I was successful!
The owner is very helpful and responsive, and we are hoping to return there in the future.
We had a lovely and relaxing time at the Laurels. Set in Lower Westwood, is this beautiful cottage and only minutes away from some beautiful walks for dogs. The cottage is stunning and yet is still dog friendly. It has 2 very good sized bedrooms, soft and comfy beds, fantastic showers upstairs and down, a modern kitchen and a very comfy lounge. everything was thought of - great attention to detail. Wi-fi was strong and consistant throughout the property as well. I highly recommend the Laurels and the owner Nigel has been friendly, engaging and helpful via email on the lead up to our stay!
Thank you Nigel, from Andy, Sher, Lewis and our dog Bodie :-)
Excellent pet-friendly cottage close to Bradford on Avon, with good walks available from the door and all amenities we needed (all in good order).
Stayed here with my wife and friends and would highly recommend it. It's a really sweet cottage with lots of character. And the best equipped rental place I've ever stayed in. There's a cupboard stocked with various olive oils and spices and there were a few useful items left in the fridge.
There was a Victoria Sponge cake waiting for us and there's even a cookie jar..with actual cookies in it!
The cottage is perfectly located for walks to Bradford-on-Avon (about 1.5 miles away), Freshford and Avoncliff.
Had a great meal at the local pub (The New Inn, Westwood), which is only a few minutes walk down the road.
Will definitely be back.
Great location and we'll set up for easy self catering. The cake waiting on the bench was an unexpected and welcome surprise after a day on the road.
