What a fantastic day at the safari park. Went on the bus tour round the safari park the driver Dave was very knowledgable about the park and the animals. This also saved the car being taken apart by the monkey mechanics lol.
The day was topped off with a VIP Penguin experience, the keeper Kal was really friendly and her knowledge of not just the penguins but the rays and sea horses was second to none and she was obviously very passionate about her job explaining also the back ground work that had to be done in a daily basis. Then came the best bit I got to feed and get up close to the penguins who all have there own characters making me laugh.
I would highly recommend anyone to go there and have a great day as I did.

Been here a fair few times over the years and it's still great. What a range of animals there are, and you won't get closer anywhere else.

If you work for the emergency services, you can get a BlueLightCard and save quite a bit on the entry price. Recommend you go when there is good weather forecast, so all the animals are out.

Attended the festival of light which this year the theme was fairy tails. There were numerous displays around the grounds. A very popular attraction and well worth the money. Plenty of food outlets and shops selling both Longleat merchandise and Christmas decorations.

Visited Tuesday after Easter weekend so although busy it wasn't uncomfortable. Decided to take the bus tour for the safari as we have a roof pod and didn't want to chance the monkey enclosure. Sat upstairs and had a wonderful time, driver slows down for photos and gives a good commentary. Lots to see and do here. Took the boat trip (included in the entrance fee) and had sea lions swimming alongside, amazing time. There's a little train ride also included but the queues are quite long. The enclosures are large and the animals extremely well cared for. An adventure playground that's absolutely fantastic, my Granddaughter would have spent hours there if we had the time. The bat cave was awesome and we saw a parrot display that was very entertaining. My only disappointment was the butterfly house which was sadly lacking many butterflies. My granddaughter held a tarantula and corn snake and got to feed the lorikeets. Arrived at ten and left at five. Paid an extra £5 each for the bus which was good value. Cafe very good. Revisiting with my other grandchildren in August and hoping it won't be too busy. Not cheap but I think it was worth every penny. The best day out in ages!
