Description: Something is most definitely brewing in Portrush - beer is making a quiet and classy comeback! By forging strong links with domestic, individual, artisan brewers Kiwi's Brew Bar is able to source suds that you simply can't get elsewhere along with the best known beer brands. The vast bottled beer selection can be perused through the doors of several chillers situated on both sides of the bar, but a better bet is to ask the knowledgeable and friendly staff for suggestions. Every month we host a 'Meet the Brewer' night featuring an up-and-coming brewery. Pokertree Brewery came in June while 8 Degrees Brewery is coming at the end of July. While our IPA Fridays feature live music and guest beers from 5.00Pm. If beer is not your thing, Kiwi's Brew Bar also has local craft cider and gin on offer as well as quality wines and Prosecco for the ladies! 'Local' doesn't stop to the brews. Kiwi's Brew Bar collaborates with local music talent too. Live acoustic music is available several times per week and at the weekends with 'Brews and Blues' Sundays being particularly popular with the patrons. The pub is located in one of Portrush's oldest buildings reintroduced as a pub with a modern twist: its eclectic style is a mixture of New Zealand as well as Northern Ireland culture and influences! The site was originally constructed around the 1930s as a two-screen cinema, the Majestic Cinema, which opened on 7th April 1939 and had seating for 792. The building was later refurbished and its art deco style restored to its former glory. Today the cinema, which has a seating capacity of 250, is still a main feature of the building and is used to show independent movies, international rugby and football matches and boxing events. The impressive auditorium can be hired for conferences or exhibitions and there is also an outside balcony overlooking Main Street which is perfect for an alfresco drink. Kiwi's Brew Bar, the home of craft beer and live music, is family friendly, can host private parties and is open 7 nights a week. Plans are afoot for a small, honest, pub food menu based on locally sourced ingredients and it will soon be opening early for coffee and pastries.

A crowd of us came to Portrush for a weekend of surfing, arrived at Kiwi's by chance on the Friday night and felt instantly at home - it's that good we ended up at here another night too. Great selection of drinks all reasonably priced, live music on the Saturday was brilliant and the staff are fantastic, so down to earth and joined in with the craic. Wish we'd had the food now I'm seeing other reviews saying how unreal it is! Already recommended Kiwi's to others thinking of heading to Portrush for a weekend. Will be back for sure!

The bar staff are wonderful. Very knowledgable about the local craft beers and the food is great. Especially the hot wings, dirty fries and the dirty chick burger.

I was disappointed I chose the night they DIDNT have live music, but their massive craft beer selection made up for it.

Also, when my burger came, so did I. I mean this thing was massive and delicious - even though they have to cook it through (no medium rare :( )

A great place - go here
