Having been here on an earlier trip a couple of years ago I was keen to go back.
The atmosphere of the hotel and restaurant is lovely and welcoming, with nooks and crannies to have a drink in, traditional decor and the smell of peat burning on the fire.
We shared the oysters, then I had the smoked salmon starter and the hake main (with a side of dauphinoise potatoes to share). All were delicious, with the oysters and hake chosen from the Innkeeper's menu (specialities of the day, with limited numbers available).
The staff are friendly and helpful.
