This sparsely decorated (only a few tables/chairs for the size fo the place) cafe is probably the only one in Kawakawa that aspires to healthful food. Having said that, there were a few vegetarian dishes and no vegan ones. There was only one staff member coping with the slow trickle of (mostly takeaway) business but we were on holiday and happy to linger. The food wouldn't win any awards in Ponsonby but the prices were good, the salad wrap was enjoyed by the wife and my nachos was tasty. Like most cafes I guess this one must have been hugely impacted by the pandemic restrictions and I'm glad it survived. It's not a "wow" cafe but it's a solid choice in a small town that lacks choice.
