Stayed on a Secret Escapes Deal. The hotel was nice and good location for Stratford. The room was clean and tidy. Enjoyed our included 3 course meal. We did feel however that the full english breakfast was quite small compared to other places we have stayed. All in all a pleasant stay.

Ideal function venue. nothing was too much trouble. Wedding breakfast was excellent. Staff very pleasant.
Down side for some is no air conditioning and rooms.did lack the luxury feel given the price.
The biggest disadvantage was they were unable to make rooms available before 4.00. At a surcharge rooms could be available from 12.00 which has no advantage for an12.30 wedding and guests travelling. Given the wedding.package This was disappointing.
Otherwise no complaints.

We stayed here for our annual weekend away, which was our second visit here.
The recent upgrades and additions to the hotel are a great improvement, and the staff are all very helpful.
Rooms are of a good size and clean and tidy.
The menu was ok but didn’t change between the nights we stayed.
Some of the supplements were a bit high and didn’t tally with the al-a- cart menu.
Scott the night manager was great and was always happy to help.
Would definitely stay here again but maybe look at the menu and give a bit of variation.

We celebrated the wedding of my sister here and had dinner with about 15 people. The food itself was good but it was served on completely dirty dishes. All plates had dirt around the edges and were fatty. This place has a big issue with their dishwasher. On top of that, the wine glasses had lipstick from previous guests on it!!! It was absolutely disgusting. No apologies, nothing. Really sad to serve this food with such bad conditions. Would highly recommend not to eat at this place.

We arrived an hour before check in which is 4pm. We waited in the bar area until our room was ready. We went back to reception at 4 and we were shown to our family room (105). The room was spacious with a small flat screen tv, couch, fan and radiator too. The bed was huge but that's because it was two singles pushed together. We had asked for an extra bed for our 4 year old which had not been set up. We popped down to reception and house keeping came straight away and set it up.
As part of our secret escape deal we were supposed to receive a bottle of prosecco in our room which had been forgotten. When we went down for dinner we mentioned it to reception and asked if we could have it with our meal. It was a decent bottle of prosecco too. The no.19 restaurant didn't have a children's menu but they were very accommodating and prepared grilled chicken and mashed potato for her which she enjoyed. I have a number of food intolerances and the kitchen adapted the first two courses for me and even offered a fruit salad as an alternative dessert. The food was average nothing spectular.

Our family room needed a lick of paint and the bathroom an update. The door to get in is very low and the ceiling is low too.It was nice enough but cleanliness was not to a high standard, it was dusty with cobwebs. The bath tub also didn't drain very well but the shower was very good.

We slept reasonably well with the fan on although someone somewhere started playing music at 7.10 am.

Breakfast was okay too. There was a selection of continental on a table although it needed refreshing by the time we finished breakfast. Cooked breakfast is made to order and there's a decent toaster near the continental selection. My husband had a full English which he said was decent but the sausage was tough and cold. I ordered a healthy breakfast but the poached egg swimming in water which was off putting.
