Reasonable branch of the Akena chain of hotels situated on a retail park. Sparsely furnished small room with lino flooring and only one plug point. Reasonable, functional bathroom. Plus points was the very cheap price and the close proximity to a variety of different places to eat and drink. The proximity to transport links is also a big plus point

Cheap, clean, convenient, very pleasant staff (unlike what you will experience at Premiere Class hotels).
Rooms are simple but that's not a problem for a stopover.
Plenty of dinner options around (Chinese buffet, Buffalo Grill...)
Parking is available and checkin/out is 24/7 thanks to automated booths which are easy to use.
Access to/from Avignon city might be a bit hard without a car.
I would definitely stay in an Akena hotel again!

I have this place 5 stars. Not because it's a 5 star hotel but because it's the best you could ask for at this price.

The room is just a comfy bed, toilet, table, TV and surprisingly nice shower.

It was super clean, automatic checkin at the door was easy, parking right out the front, restaurants all around... but what surprised us the most was how nice the workers were. We have stayed in a lot of budget places in France like Premier Classe and Formulae 1 etc. Staff are usually rude. Here we found even the person mopping the floor outside to be polite and welcoming.

Well done team. For this price (35€ from memory), I couldn't have asked for anything more!

Enjoy!!

We stayed here for 4 nights during high season in the summer.

Rooms: The rooms were really small and it was noisy, you can hear the people in the next room and the hallway. The shower is very small (and i'm quite small framed as well), the toilet had a hard time flushing and there is barely room to walk in the room. It was fairly clean, no insects etc.
All in all, if you just need the rooms to sleep in after a long day of activities, it's a good deal.

Staff: The staff was genuinely nice and helpful. There was one younger blonde girl who helped us a lot and spoke english really well.

Location: Very conveniently located if you have a car. The wine region Chateauneuf du pape is right there, we went to visit the vineyards and had loads of great tastings (of course i didnt drink as the designated driver :) The bigger cities, such as Avignon and even Marseille were good to drive to. Marseille took us about 50 min to drive to.
Apart from this, there is a great shopping center right next to the hotel. There is huge supermarket there (Auchan) and lots of other shops.

Other: There was free wifi, but the wifi was super slow... Airconditioning was too cold as well, you couldnt really adjust the temperature. My throat got sore and dry every day.
There is no elevator! Be aware if you need an elevator.

Overall, i would recommend this hotel if you're traveling on a budget and want good value for your money.

Hotel Face West is great! Clarence made our day! Thank you for the wonderful service. We were a little needy and he was kind and very helpful making our trip to Southern France seemless. The location is great for seeing the lavender fields.
