Had a an excellent 3 nights at the Caban y Saer. Received a warm welcome from Mel on arrival, who briefly showed us around the cabin before leaving us to our devices, but letting us know that she would be on hand should we need anything.
The cabin itself is built to a very high standard with every attention to detail made, and is perfect for two people. Other holiday let owners need to come here to see how it should be done!
Although the property was adjacent to the owners home, the cabin has the feel of being on it's own. The outside deck over looking the river is a wonderful space...just a shame that the weather was such that were weren't able to make use of it.
All in all, we would have no hesitation in recommending this cabin to family and friends.

The cabin is the perfect quiet romantic getaway. The cabin itself is beautifully decorated, warm and cosy with a large decking overlooking the stream. The owners house is next door but despite this, it feels private and secluded. There is a great walk up the mountain nearby with spectacular views. Not much going on in Bala at this time of year but the cabin is only an hour away from all the beautiful snowdonia spots. The hosts were lovely and helpful. A perfect trip overall!!

This is a gorgeous cabin. It's clean, well laid out and really homely. The kitchen has everything you'd have in your kitchen at home. The sofa is super comfy, there's a great tv with loads of channels and a DVD player. The bedroom is lovely, very comfy bed and bedding. The bathroom is wonderful with an amazing shower!! The use of the hot tub is also great, lovely after a long day of walking. The town is a 10 minute walk, which has pubs, a small supermarket, gift shops and a couple of restaurants. What more could you need! The scenery is just stunning. It's so peaceful and we felt so relaxed. We will be coming back time and time again. It's also amazing value for money.

I bought this trip as a Christmas gift for me and my boyfriend. It was everything we could have wanted. We had a friendly welcome but then were left to do as we pleased. The view from the cabin is gorgeous as you look straight onto the river. It was really easy to find as the town was so tiny. We had a chinese take away from New China which was fab, the portions are big so we had leftovers the next day :) Bala town has everything you need - Shops, Takeaways, Restaurants and Pubs. We didn't really have a chance to explore which was a shame. I wish we had booked more than a 2 nights stay, hopefully we will be returning.
