Description: Green Olive at Red Hill is a whole farm experience. We grow olives, grapes, herbs and veggies, raise sheep, chooks and pigs as well as use fresh produce from local farmers to create a range of of food, wine and body products you’ll love! Our all day tapas and wine menu is available everyday from 9am until 4pm, then coffee, wine and dessert until 5pm. We love to share our knowledge of farming, food and wine so also have a range of tours and courses for you to enjoy. Green Olive at Red Hill is located one hour from Melbourne, at Red Hill, in the beautiful wine-growing region of the Mornington Peninsula where we farm the good life. We are now sharing the goodness of the farm with visitors who can’t get to the Mornington Peninsula. Our city store and online store house all our favourite products including olives, olive oils, tapenade and our beautifully nourishing olive based body washes and lotions. Our newest, must have product is our olive balm!

After googling family friendly winery Green Olive came up and a quick phone call from being 20 minutes away we were seated, glad we called as the place filled up very fast on a Sunday for lunch.
We ordered a selection of tapas style Mediterranean food and all were delicious, a particular favorite was the pate, the kids (6&7) tasted some of the food but ended up ordering from the kids menu which was excellent too (no awful chicken nuggets or fish fingers here) a glass of wine and a good coffee to finish and I was very happy.
A choice of indoor or outdoor seating, very nice waitstaff, and a trampoline and plenty of outside space for the kids to run and jump made it’s great spot for our whole family. We will definitely return.

We visited on a cold, wet and windy day so enjoyed hot coffee/chai whilst perusing the outstanding menu. You can't go wrong with the Tapas style choices. We had 5-6 delicious plates between 2 adults and a toddler, alongside a very nice drop of Pinot. You can see how this place would be perfect to spend your afternoons with the family in the summer. Even on a blistery day we wandered to the pond to look at the ducks and made good use of the trampoline to burn some of that 3 year old energy!

The six of us visited Green Olive for a late Sunday lunch on a sunny but very windy afternoon.

The venue is incredibly pretty with olive groves as you first enter, then a view of beautiful vineyards and as you drive further in, a picturesque lake meets the eye. The bistro itself has an inviting, industrial style decor that works beautifully with the setting.

We were promptly seated at our reserved table which was outside (so we could drink in the views) but was shielded from the wind & set at a perfect temperature to enjoy lunch and chit chats with friends without having to keep our jackets on.

The food was super yummy, we shared many of the tapas items that were on the menu. All of us loved everything that we had ordered.

Lamb meatballs 10/10
Pulled pork 9/10
Zucchini 9/10
Dips 10/10
Potatoes 10/10
Lamb sausages 9/10
Cheese & marmalade board 10/10
Pulled lamb & Cous cous salad 9/10

After lunch we strolled about the property and found lots of veggies growing in their patch.

Wouldn’t mind driving an hour from Melbourne to go back here. Highly recommended! :)

DO NOT waste your money. At $180 per head, the advertised three hour cooking experience (followed by wine tasting and lunch) was condensed into a two hour experience, followed by lunch. Upon contacting the owner directly, he was unapologetic and still believed we got what we paid for.

The kitchen bench space and pasta machines caters for a maximum of 5 people NOT 8-10. The cooking component was rushed. One knife to be shared between 8 people was very poor. Storage area for personal bags and coats was inadequate, meaning these got quite wet from the washing up sink.

Being a local, I won’t be returning.

I visited here with my bestie as a birthday treat and I loved every moment of it. The location is stunning and the food was gorgeous. The meatballs were so flavourful and the potatoes melted in your mouth. The cauliflower dip needed a bit more flavour but went well with the bread. I loved , loved , loved the chocolate brûlée. The wine paddle was fabulous for 15 dollars. It looked very kid friendly and I am planning to go back next week with my toddler :) Left with some Olives and olive oil:)
