Ordered a takeaway and it was delivered via Uber. One takeaway was lovely and the other one was terrible. Just like drinking flavored water. Never order a takeaway again.

The pad Thai was fine, the Tom yum was not so "wow". But the worse is the service. You come inside, the 2 ladies at the reception doesn't even greet customers. We take order, and she's not so attentive but rather keep on using mobile at work. The server is not even accommodating and not smiling. We paid at the counter, no thank you or bye. They are just grumpy 🙈 in short, bad customer service.

We have been to the Thai Peninsula many times earlier - but this time we went after nearly after one year. The quality & quantity of food has gone down so much & the service was so disappointing. Since we were a family together, just like every time we ordered the big soup - the quantity has been cut in half and served in an aluminum smoke bowl, that has no charcoal in it. Poorly presented and quantity very less for the price. Earlier it use to come in big melamine bowls, a really good quantity that justified the price. We ordered Green curry and requested it to be spicy, it came totally tasteless, no spice, blend in taste. The quantity was small portions. The waitress disappeared and though we tried to call them to tell them but all of them were busy with cleaning & other things. Very poor customer service. Overall, this has been the worst Thai food experience at Thai Peninsula, Lincoln Road, Henderson and I strongly recommend people to try some other place. We understand the costs have gone up and probably can compromise on price & if quantity is a little less, but if the food is tasteless and service is bad, that restaurant does not deserve good reviews unless the owners understand people are spending their money and coming to enjoy good food from the country they are representing. This is definitely not THAI FOOD.

The only waitress has a BAD and DON'T really care attitude!!! Thinks she owns the restaurant and has scant respect for the guests...even when guests walk in @ 2.15pm she says the restaurant closes @ 2.30pm...'cause she wants to go HOME!!!

Requested for extra sauce and guess what....for 2 tiny drops she charges $1.50 EACH....really!!!! You could buy a whole bottle for $3.00.

STAY AWAY AS THER ARE MUCH BETTER THAI RESTAURANTS IN AUCKLAND.

I have been to Thai Peninsula multiple times at their old location but had not visited since they had shifted to a Lincoln Road. It has always been a favourite. I have always found the menu consistently good and the service quick and friendly. The new location did not disappoint. The setting was lovely and the food was consistently good. I like the fact that the staff are all well informed about the needs of coeliacs and can always cater to my needs. It was quite busy the night I went with a group of friends and they were quick and efficient. We never once felt rushed though. The menu is reasonably priced and you get decent sized meals. I had Pad Thai which was delicious. There were four of us in the group and everybody thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The only thing I would note is that it is in a busy complex and parking can be tight, but I managed to find a car park without too much trouble. Being on Lincoln Road there is no street parking nearby so this is something to be mindful of.
