Review of Le Torri
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 10 Oct 2020
We normally do not write reviews, but we really respect and admire what Le Torri is doing and want to help them if we can. It was our first visit to Piemonte. We are avid cyclists seeking quiet picturesque roads and challenging rides; who also love great food and wine post ride. Based on the cluster of great restaurants, one of our Italian friends suggested Castiglione Falleto. Lucky for us! I searched and found Le Torri and booked a magical week. We were not disappointed in any respect. We found a multitude of quiet, scenic roads and rides via Kamoot to fill our days. Parking was easy in their inexpensive garage and they easily accomodated our performance road bikes. Each night, we could try either traditional local dishes or modern cuisine all paired with the best red wine in the world in this famous Barolo region. It was all within a short walk of the hotel or even in the seperately run Le Torri restaurant just below our room. The area is known for hazel nuts, truffles and red wine. Family run Le Torri offered all in comfort and style.always doing what is best for their guests. It says 3 star in the ratings, but we have stayed in 4 and 5 stars which pale in comparison to Le Torri. The value was unbelieveable.

Room Tip: The multi room apartments are an incredible value.

I can only recommend, especially for what you have to pay. Very fairly priced. Rooms are comfortable and have a lot fo space, maybe a bit on the darker side.
      Bathroom newly done.
      Breakfast was great .
      Service attentive.
      A clear positive recommendation

Have just spent two nights at Le Torri which could not have been better. Small, boutique hotel which has been invested in to provide a modern, clean look with comfortable rooms. Breakfast was excellent. We had great help in booking restaurants and a wine tour. Everything was just right.

Clean, comfortable hotel with friendly staff and a great breakfast that includes good coffee and juices. Garage parking is available for a small fee but worth it as local roads can get busy. Definitely worth returning to.

Really nice restaurant in the middle of a medieval village. The wine menu is impressive and covers all you can expect in terms of choice. The food menu offers a nice choice of local specialities and the service was very friendly and professional.

Stayed in this excellent family-run (young husband and wife) hotel for 4 nights in October in a room with a balcony on the second floor. There were approximately 38 stairs up to our room and no lift but the owner was very athletic in carrying our bags up the stairs.

Our room was at one end of the building and had a large balcony that afforded us magnificent views over the Langhe landscape and, on days when there was no fog, we could see the snow capped Alps. From the other end of the balcony we could see the very quiet main street of the village.

Our room was a fair size but not large and was furnished with a queen sized bed that had small bedside tables with wall mounted lamps either side of the bed. There was a desk with a chair that had a small flat screen TV on it and a bar fridge underneath it. There was another chair, a luggage rack and an open wardrobe with hanging space and two reasonably sized drawers. There was a small wall safe.

The bathroom was a good size with the vanity basin having some room for toiletries as well as a small stool. There was a very good walk in shower (pressure was good) and no bath.

The room and the bathroom were very clean. WIFI was included and worked reasonably well.

Perhaps the best feature though was the large balcony that had two chairs and a table and commanding views over the Langhe countryside.

Whilst there was no hot food breakfast was a veritable feast of juices, cereals, boiled eggs, cheeses, cold meats, breads, pastries. fruit etc and tea and coffee.

The hotel had its own wine room and you could buy bottles or glasses of of wine to drink either on your balcony, in the hotel's lounge room or in the excellent courtyard.

Locked garage parking was available at EUR5 per night (if you booked on the hotel's website). Whilst the garage was under the hotel it was about a 100 metre slightly downhill/uphill walk to get to it.

Our hosts and the breakfast and cleaning staff were very pleasant and helpful. They also had an excellent handout in four languages explaining the hotel's facilities which had two maps on the back of it. One of the local village with restaurants and wineries marked and one of the broader area also with a number of wineries marked.

      Would absolutely stay here again.
