Just what we needed! A little pocket of paradise with all the luxury necessities AND ALL ECO FRIENDLY.
We were spoiled with a complimentary upgrade to the honeymoon tent with a claw foot bath to soak in after thee most AMAZING massage !
But the outdoor shower was bliss after a salty swim in the sea too. This place was positioned perfectly, a bike or scooter ride to popular hubs such as the night market, epic burger joint and trader jacks.
Would 100 percent recommend staying here for a relaxing and glamorous stay. It’s super clean with no bugs or sand. And oh- don’t get me started on the fresh daily breakfast- this place was tent out of ten PERFECT!

Alan and Vicki are outstanding hosts!!We felt really welcomed and very comfortable during our stay.
Highlight of our trip was getting married - by fabulous local celebrant Flo - beside the pool, in Ikurangi’s beautiful tropical gardens with views of the mountains!!!
Alan’s daily breakfasts were fantastic - and having fresh drinking water available was great.
We much appreciated Vicki’s help with booking activities and ordering an Island Platter - also Alan’s advice re the ‘Cross Island Track’ which was challenging ..but so worth it!!
Our Tropical Are was very clean and comfortable (thank you Susan) with lovely fresh flowers.
We rented a car which was helpful (especially coming back at night) and would recommend hiring a car or scooter. We had fun using the free bikes to explore around the inner roads - and we absolutely loved the saltwater pool!

Ikurangi Eco Retreat was a slice of heaven! Waking up to the view of the hills and the delicious spread Alan prepared for breakfast was a treat. Perfect location & stunning hosting from Alan, Vicki & Susan. Would recommend for couples looking for some time out, a solo traveller who wants to be close to activities but doesn’t want to stay in the tourist hub and to a large group that can make use of the lush garden and space.
