This hotel was amazing to say the least!! Service, staff, rooms, food, location and most of all... that view!! Everyone spoke English, happy to help, rooms were very spacious and clean and away from the crowds. The complementary breakfast is also great! All the ingredients were made from within the town itself which I thought was pretty cool. Eggs, jams etc. The wine and restaurant was also 5/5 stars for us. Definitely will be staying here again on our next visit!
The food is very good in several small restaurants nearby as also in the hotel Gloria. By bus we went to the village and by train there are several nice places to know. It is a place to rest and enjoy the mountains,
Excellent location, excellent room, excellent view and excellent chef. Love the hotel very much! I Booked a room with two bedrooms. Amazing balcony with the view of mountain and the lake. It is close to the cable car station too. Surprisingly, the food is great! Stunning view in your room if u have a balcony. Another Excellent family runs hotel In swiss! I wish I can be back again!
I can’t even begin to describe the hospitality at Hotel Gloria. First, the staff, the owners, the wait staff, everyone was so amazing and unbelievably nice. Second, the rooms and the views, I’ve never had better nights of sleep or more beautiful views at any hotel. The bus into Interlaken takes about 30-40 minutes and is pretty easy to use. I certainly did not mind the bus and it was worth the bus ride for the incredible views. One great example of the hospitality, we accidentally looked up the wrong bus time and were waiting outside for our bus when we realized we looked at the wrong time table. We went back to Hotel Gloria and were offered a hot cup of coffee and advice while we figured out our trip. They were always so welcoming and kind. I would 10/10 recommend and would certainly return! I love Hotel Gloria so much that I literally downloaded the Trip Advisor app just to write this review.
Spectacular views from every room all of which face south towards the Eiger and the Lake Thun. I loved waking up and sitting on the balcony with a coffee and enjoying that view. Rooms were cosy, not 5 star but perfectly good. Staff were great and the owners so welcoming. That’s not something you often experience and certainly not in the larger upscale establishments that I’ve visited. Good food in the restaurant too. Again with a view! Prices were reasonable for Switzerland. I was there in low season so can’t comment on summer or winter prices.
