I can’t even begin to describe the hospitality at Hotel Gloria. First, the staff, the owners, the wait staff, everyone was so amazing and unbelievably nice. Second, the rooms and the views, I’ve never had better nights of sleep or more beautiful views at any hotel. The bus into Interlaken takes about 30-40 minutes and is pretty easy to use. I certainly did not mind the bus and it was worth the bus ride for the incredible views. One great example of the hospitality, we accidentally looked up the wrong bus time and were waiting outside for our bus when we realized we looked at the wrong time table. We went back to Hotel Gloria and were offered a hot cup of coffee and advice while we figured out our trip. They were always so welcoming and kind. I would 10/10 recommend and would certainly return! I love Hotel Gloria so much that I literally downloaded the Trip Advisor app just to write this review.

Spectacular views from every room all of which face south towards the Eiger and the Lake Thun. I loved waking up and sitting on the balcony with a coffee and enjoying that view. Rooms were cosy, not 5 star but perfectly good. Staff were great and the owners so welcoming. That’s not something you often experience and certainly not in the larger upscale establishments that I’ve visited. Good food in the restaurant too. Again with a view! Prices were reasonable for Switzerland. I was there in low season so can’t comment on summer or winter prices.

I will he honest that at first, before arriving we had doubts, specially since we’ve been to 4-5 stars hotels during our stay in Switzerland and were not happy.

But the moment we arrived at gloria, we were 100% satisfied! The ambience, the room, the view and the most important the cleanliness! Everyday we come back we find the room shining after housekeeping service. ( did not see that in any 4 stars hotels we’ve been to in Switzerland)

The rooms were larger than any hotel we’ve been which gave our one year old baby space to play around. Also, there is a seating area with children play zone in the first floor.

We felt like we were at home. Very cosy and we got help whenever needed.

We would definitely recommend this place!
