Charming traditional hotel building in a good location, with beatiul views, very close the funicular for an easy 2 min walk to the boat pier. Also easily accesible with the hourly bus service.
As it was pointed in other reviews this Hotel is what you would consider "family run". While this might mean more personal and friendly service, it might also mean lack of system and and consistency. In our case the latter was true, I have tried to contact the hotel via multiple channels (Own Website, hotels.com, email, facebook) relentlesly chasing after 15 days days I finally got a response and I assumed my requests were finally delivered and acted upon. Only to later find out that they were not. My room request was pretty much ignored (I was hoping for an upper floor room) which I understand is a request that cannot be guaranteed, but I don't think there is any explanation that the staff didn't know I booked the resturant for 2 dinners almost a month ago.
Rooms were clean, breakfast was nice, restaurant was also good. I personally enjoyed the food, (Lamb and Fondue) although my friends were not impressed with
the Veal in Creamy Mushroom Sauce served in a bowl, as it had very litle veal in it. Wine selection was decent, and the swiss dessert wine recommended by the staff was one of the best I've ever had.
