We stayed two nights and the hotel lived up to the reviews we had read. Every room has an amazing view of Thunersee and the Alps like the one I’ve shared. The owner came over for a chat whenever he saw us and all the staff made us feel welcome. The restaurant was excellent too.
We were greeted warmly by the owner , checked in then went to our room. The hotel is not extravagant on entrance , but the room was very clean, comfortable beds & rooms. But oh the view & you have a private balcony over looking the lake & mountains . A good breakfast is offered & they also have a restaurant for dinner, we ate dinner both nights & it was lovely. The hotel is situated up the mountain side but so worth the drive .
We only stayed the one night but wished it was much longer. After a warm and friendly welcome we had a lovely room with a balcony that had an amazing view of the lake and mountains. Dinner was great sat out on the terrace , can't praise the staff and owners enough for their service. The village itself is so pretty and it has both a cable car to take you up the mountain and a vernicular train to take you down to the lake. There's a little shop as well to get provisions. Really loved it here and can't wait to come back!
Easily the most spectacular view my wife and I have ever experienced. The hotel owner, Bernard, could not have been friendlier. Good, not great food, but the ambience and the visuals made the dinner we had out on the terrace one of the most spectacular we have ever experienced. There are many other hotels in the area but I can't imagine one any better, regardless of price level. This is one special, almost spiritual place. The ease of access to bus service to Interlaken, the comfort of the room, the friendliness of Bernard the owner and one of the world's great views make this a 5 star stay by any measure. If we ever go back to this area we wouldn't even consider another hotel. Trust me...you'll love this one.
The hotel and the service is the best i have ever had. They received me earlier and provided me with early check in. the lady was so generous and made very simple. Once i arrived to my room, they had a small teddy bear on my bed. I had an issue with my safe and they fixed it immediately. Once they knew that i will not be able to have breakfast for the two days im staying with them (1st day i had a paragliding experience early morning before they started their breakfast, and the 2nd day i had to catch the train back to Geneva), they had arranged for the lady to come earlier by 30 minutes to prepare my breakfast and it was the best omlette i had in my life. they had a arranged for a takeway breakfast so that i can eat it at the train( a cheese sandwich, an apple and yogurt). they are so human and treat you like one of them.
I had dinner at their restaurant and it was my first experience with the Swiss Fondue and it is amazing. i had a green salad and it was all fresh and yummy.
This is not to speak about the view. They have a breathtaking view. Even though this hotel is away from interlaken by bus by around 25 minutes, but it is worth it. Im really inlove with this hotel and its owners. A pleasure to be in their hotel.
