Great hotel overall. The location, rooms, view and spa. There are little things that can upset you.
We've stayed in quality hotels around the world in-par with the Parkhotel. So we knew what to expect.
The diner selection for Vegetarian, was extremely limited. Steamed vegetables with chickpeas all cooked Al Dante - not ideal for chickpeas, making them very hard and painful to digest.
Most hotels that offers breakfast buffet has open seating system. Without anyone showing us to "our" table we've selected a table without any marking on the table -room number or "reserved" sign. After a few minutes we where asked for our room number and then asked to move to another table, as the Parkhotel has a seating system. We indeed moved to another table, although it wasn't that accommodating and we felt bad for "breaking their rolls".
Hours later during checkout, when we voiced our constructive criticism, the young hotel manager became defensive and tried to tack us back to the dining room to see the seating system and talked about the hotel's 50 years tradition and number of stars, bla bla bla. It was totally uncalled for.
I do recommend the hotel, but highly recommend not to even think about offering them any constructive criticism to improve their service, as they will not accept it (because they think that after 50 years, they know better).More
