We stayed there in July 2018 for 4 nights.
Our two girls (5 + 7) liked the fact that there is a Mini Golf and a gym. Since the gym was quite close to our room, this contributed to higher noise levels, than maybe for other guests. Our room was relatively tidy, but clearly needs an update, carpet, curtains, fittings seem quite aged, and somehow minimalistic. The restaurant / dining area looked cozy, but also dated.
Maybe the biggest disappointment was the food though. 1 choice for the evening meal, while the main course offered a veggie option. Almost everything was labeled 'TK' which stands for deep-frozen: duck, spaetzle, vegetables. I found myself ordering the kids pasta with tomato sauce in the end, because the duck really killed it for me...
I award an extra point to the German waitress who offered my wife a special main course with chicken breast, but that already seemed to pose great difficulties.
For desert, when asking for a second scoop of ice cream, the one waiter said "No, just one. Imagine if everybody asked for two!" ... wow, yes, true, imagine THAT!
All in all our stay was nice and enjoyable, the kids loved it - but there's this bitter aftertaste of over-thriftiness. Please, update your hotel, increase your prices if you must - but give your guests the feeling of abundance, and generosity.

Dear Markus S

Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review. We really appreciate it. We are truly sorry about the restaurant - we will change that and talk to the team about the "scoop incident" - should not be like that!
We do know that the hotel needs a brush-up. We hope we can do something about that too.

Best wishes from Klosters!

We stayed 4 nights on half board basis. Breakfast was good, though no hot dishes. Dinners were good, though salad buffet not that extensive. Restaurant staff (indeed all the staff) were friendly and helpful. It was explained that tap water would be charged for (3 CHF) if no other drinks were ordered. Nice terrace and lots of facilities for families. Hotel was half way between Platz and Dorf (about 10-15 mins walk to each), but a free bus every half hour in both directions was welcome (and timed to link up with the trains from platz). Room was spacious with fridge/mini bar. Dinner available from 18:00 so good for families. The Guest card gives free access to lifts, buses and trains in Klosters/Davos and train all the way to Filisur, which saved a lot of money as Swiss lifts are very expensive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Klosters.

One small niggle - the exhaust fumes from the enclosed garage area could permeate through Haus 1 corridors, though not the rooms. Perhaps a better extraction system is needed

Arrived in Klosters by train & the hotel arranged for us to be met at the station & brought us to the hotel & took us back to the station when we left. The foyer was warm & a lovely open fire was being tended by the staff which was very welcoming on a cold snowy day. We were expecting the bedroom to be 'tired' from reading some reviews but actually it was very well maintained clean & freshly decorated & extremely spacious with lots of cupboards & drawers to store bulky winter clothes! The TV was a good size with a BBC world news channel. Breakfasts were all good & I especially liked the coffee machines where you could choose from an excellent variety of coffees. The swimming pool was also good, again I expected it to be cold from reading other reviews but this was not so.
Without exception all staff were very efficient and friendly. I would definitely recommend a visit & would stay here again if I returned to Klosters.

Stayed in the hotel with grandchildren .Rooms a good size but our bath was small and had a rust spot in the base. Accomodation is very spread out over 3/4houses and easy to get lost .Gym very old fashioned and small for a SPORT hotel no running machine!
Food average vegetables appeared to be similar to those on a bag at the Co op and no egg machine at breakfast only pre cooked in a basket. Jh

This is a good 3 star hotel. Our room was a really good size for Europe with good amenities . large bathroom was fine except that the small tub had totally rounded sides and bottom and was difficult to stand in to shower. Always lots of hot water, daily maid service etc. Large ski room easily accessible with good boot warmers. Location was close to the bus stop which took you into town where you walked a short distance to get to the main gondola. Breakfast was a spartan offering of European breakfast but did include hard-boiled eggs. Dinners simple..(we had absolutely no typical delicious Swiss food such as wieners and rosti sauerkraut, schnitzel, ) Don't expect to get free water or coffee with your dinner. All told it was good value for a 3 star hotel. We were there to ski so did not use the sports facilities which are many and probably very attractive to families.
