We stayed four nights at the Albeina for an Easter ski break.
It is tucked away in a very quiet location in Klosters Dorf, but as others have noted it is close to the railway station and Rufini's bus stop so access to Klosters Platz is easy. There is plenty of parking. Or, given that you are probably in Klosters for an outdoor holiday, why not take the beautiful 15 minute walk across the meadow to Klosters Platz? (if there is plenty of snow this route also provides a way of skiing back to the hotel from the Gotschnabahn car park)
The hotel is not the most modern but we don't go to Klosters for cutting edge culture. It appears to have been well maintained so while it looks a bit old fashioned, it still looks good.
The welcome at reception was very professional and friendly. The rooms are nice and were kept very clean. Firm mattress. The shower in the bathroom was hard to use because it was tucked under the eaves - I'm only 1.68 tall, anyone much much taller might have had a problem!

For skiers there is a half hourly shuttle bus to Madrisa and Klosters Platz. For some reason it actually drops you opposite the railway station rather than at the Gotschnabahn. (I don't know what happens if there are more guests trying to get the shuttle than there are spaces.) If this doesnt suit it is a relatively short (uphill) walk to Klosters Dorf station or the bus stop for the quick and more frequent bus service. The train and bus are included in your "Guest Card". The upside of this slightly out of the way location is that the hotel is quiet - apart from the soft hooting of the train from the other side of the valley as they climb up towards Davos - and the wonderful views from the terrace.
We found the restaurant to be first class, with a range of options at dinner, all of which were excellent. We didn't give them notice to prepare vegan food for our daughter but both the waiters and the kitchen made a great effort to produce something nice for her.
Breakfast is a typical good quality buffet. There is no hot food on the buffet - instead they will cook eggs with bacon/sausage etc to order.

In summary, I would give this place 6 stars if I could. I think my overriding impression was that if a situation arose that didn't fit the hotel's routine - vegan food, late check out, that kind of thing - the hotel's response was to see what they could do for the customer, rather than expect the customer to fit in with their routine. This is how it should be everwhere, but isn't always.

The Sunstar Hotel is located in quiet Klosters Dorf, with not much other facilities or restaurants close-by. For that you have to travel to Klosters Platz (or Davos), but that can be easily done, e.g. by train, as the station is just a short stroll away and free tickets are provided at check-in.
Staff was all in all friendly and rate-included breakfast was all right. Set Menu dining is available, if you don't want to go out.
Above the hotel's entrance stands "1985": And yes, we truly believe not much - if anything at all - has been altered or renovated ever since. Don't get us wrong, even slightly dated places with patina can have a lot of charm, if price/value is perceived to be in balance. Here, unfortunately not.
That said, if this place would market itself as 3* (instead of 4*) and well below 200 Francs per night, I would probably rate it 3 or even 4 points. If they decide to continue to charge 340 Francs a night, I'd recommend renovating the rooms and upgrading the toiletries to something decent for a start.
Tip: For a good night’s rest, ask for a room far away from the lift. It’s the noisy type.

Comfortable Hotel with very good facilities in a quiet part of Klosters however the location was perfect as the transport system along with the hotels shuttle bus meant you were never far from the action.
Food was excellent with a mix of region variations using local produce and efficient friendly staff. Swimming pool and wellness area was very welcome after a days skiing and rooms were kept immaculate.
Cant recommend high enough.

Amazing hotel with a fantastic staff ( mainly Joanne, Michael, Marlene and Christian) tasty breakfast included in our rate. It is located practically in front of the Madrisa and the Klosters dorf station, so you don't need to take your car to move and to know another areas and cities around, like Davos. The hotel gave to you a special card you are able to take the train and buses to go and to move to any place without extra fee.
Lovely amenities in your bathroom diary, perfect cleanliness and good shower. Confortable and spacious room. Excellent internet it works very well.

Room Tip: All are great. The mini bar is free with Pepsi, beers, orange juice, tonic water and gas an natural water....fantastic !!!!

Superb hotel in a quiet but attractive location, many refurbished rooms with fantastic bathrooms and balcony.
Great food, half pension option is fantastic value and well served by attentive staff, free minibar with beer and soft drinks.
Super leisure facilities and a range of activities on offer, lovely terrace and garden with separate well equipped children's area.
Very welcoming family management team who are always around with advice and information.
Very highly recommended - as are all Sunstar Hotels

Room Tip: Most rooms face the garden and terrace and have very nice views of the mountains.
