My wife and I stayed at the Steigenberger’s Sonnenhof for a weekend retreat after an exhausting week.
The hotel in the beautiful Allgäu area offers everything you could possibly ask for:
We stayed in a cozy, yet luxurious room with a lot of exclusive amenities and details, like for example a box of chocolates which we received in our room upon arrival.
The spa area, where we spent most of our stay is absolutely stunning and leaves no room for improvement. We used all pools as well as all saunas and were stunned by the variety of saunas the Sonnenhof has to offer.
The quality of the breakfast was amazing and my wife and I spent a lot of time there enjoying our rich breakfasts with such a large and exclusive buffet and a lot of little luxurious things you really wouldn’t expect!
What impressed us the most was the bread selection, absolutely stunning.
The hotel is located in Bad Wörishofen, a small little village in the Allgäu area; the hotel is situated next to a great park, but the hotel itself already offers a very charming park, too.
Due to the rich breakfast we always skipped lunch and went for dinner in Memmingen, a town about 30 minutes away from Bad Wörishofen.

Our two nights stay was so relaxing and exclusive, it is really something we had needed after an exhausting and stressful week - and although we are both in our 20s (ok, I just turned 30), we really enjoyed the tranquility and peacefulness the Sonnenhof has to offer.
Just for dinner we decided to drive to Memmingen as there is a bit more going on than in Bad Wörishofen.
