Just come home from there. The hotel is not so big and beautiful as it looks on the picture.
Owned by an old German woman, who doesn’t know a word of English. Old furniture and carpets in the room, too small for my wheelchair. Couldn't use the shower, since there were steps and plastic panels around this very small place. They have a good swimming pool on the ground floor, but not accessible for wheelchairs. Shame! Breakfast – not a big choice of food, eggs, bread and butter day after day… Not many people, quiet… A beautiful view onto the park from veranda. The price/quality correlation not reasonable.

Room tip: Room on 1st floor was very quiet and with a romantic view to the park.

We stayed here as part of an organised holiday from England, partly to do some of the excellent walks in the Harz Mountains area. The hotel was very welcoming and comfortable. Our double room was large with bed and sofa and a balcony overlooking the hotel gardens. Service was very good and efficient.

The buffet breakfast has a good variety of fruit, cheese, cold meats, eggs and fresh breads. Plenty to set us up for the day. As we were in a group of 40 we didn't try the normal evening dinner menu, but made our choice from two options in the morning. The dinner was good and well presented.

The hotel's amenities were well maintained. Good bar / lounge and plenty of seating on the terrace outside. The indoor swimming pool was good too, quite warm and clean, although the changing areas were a bit small. We didn't use the sauna as you had to give an hour's notice as they didn't keep it on all the time to save energy.

Staff were attentive and very friendly - although this isn't an area that gets a lot of English visitors they mostly spoke good English!

Room tip: One at the front overlooking the garden.
