We stayed for a few days in May and just loved this hotel. The building is old and you can feel the history, the rooms have been renovated nicely and the beds and linen is super comfortable. The age of the building was obvious with the low doorways and my husband (6'3") had to duck ever time he went in and out! The breakfast was fantastic and the service was some of the best we had as we travelled through Europe. Car parking was really easy across the road and it is only a very short walk to the old town centre. We will definitely stay here again.

We booked another place online and to our disgust had to phone around late in the evening to find a place to sleep. The barman answered the phone and quickly helped us with a room. The room was newly renovated, clean and spacious and had all the amenities. Great little place clost to the the city centre and within easy walking distance to the town square. A great find in this quaint little town. Awesome breakfast spread and friendly staff made this place worth the trouble we went through finding it.

We found the Alte Munze to be a very nice and conveniently located hotel in Goslar. It was a 10 minute walk from the train station and maybe 3 minutes to the Marktplatz - center of town. The rooms were very comfortable. The bathroom in our room was recently renovated with a lovely shower, heated floors and generally luxurious. The included breakfast buffet was nice - traditional German breakfast but lots of options. In general, an overall good find.

A very friendly reception, courteous and helpful staff and a great breakfast made this a great stay! Highly recommend this hotel!
Park your car, if you have one, and don't bother with it again for this location - everything is within walking distance and the old town is best seen on foot anyway.

Room tip: Most rooms in these old towns are small - however the rooms in this hotel were quite large

I come to Goslar every few months, and I’ve found this is the nicest and most welcoming if the hotels in Goslar. Each room is individually furnished, with quirky items, but very comfortable. The hotel was the old mint, so lots of nooks and crannies!! The breakfast is superb, and the bar cosy.
