We spent two nights here on our mc holiday, crusing around the middle of Germany. The hotel first started in 1871, the owners are very welcoming and nice, and take an interest in you, your plans, your bike eyc, you feel at home. We had a modern and nice room facing the town, a bit traffic noice, but it didn't bother us. The beds are very good. The hotel has no elevator, but have a small minibar/fridge where you can help yourself, and pay upon departure. The breakfast was simple but good. The hotel is situated only a few minutes walk from the city centre, lovely town with lots of history. It has a cafe and a restaurant as well. The hotel is nicely situated for bikers who want a home base to ride out from every day. Beautiful scenery, mountain ladscapes, and bendy roads are only a few km away. It's a biker friendly hotel, and the offer a spot in the garage if needed. It is a place we would visit again if we are in the neighbourhood :-)

Staff here were very welcoming and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant was very busy with locals on the two nights we stayed, deservedly so and getting a discount on food and drinks because we were residents was a bonus. Despite not having booked for evening meals staff made sure they saved a table for us.The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the town on foot. There was some traffic noise first thing in morning due to us leaving windows open but this is a minor niggle and more than compensated by the helpful and professional attitude of staff.

Our intro to Goslar was a scorcher ... it was hot & sunny and that is the only reason why the sleep quality is rated as average. The rooms given were as advertised, bright, cheery and very comfortable beds. There was a small fan provided, but it was a little noisy and the nights were very warm, even with the windows open. Other than that minor hitch, everything else was good.
Note : there are no tea/coffee making facilities (but we encountered this in the other places we stayed in Germany too). No lifts - so try not to have a heavy/large suitcase. Large bathrooms, hairdryer hidden in a corner of the vanity cabinet above the washbasin and only discovered on the 2nd day ... Hint : open all drawers/cabinets on checking into room!
Sufficient variety and substantial breakfast.
About 5mins walk to the Imperial Palace and from there, across the street into the old city.
Also by car to the Mines of Rammelsberg ( a UNESCO site) about 5mins.
And to Bad Harzburg mountain cable car , drive 30-45mins.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the private carpark are quieter. Our friends room which faced the road, could be a bit noisy, not from cars but from motorbikers!

The rooms are small but well decorated. A very nice shower and big towel. We were on the 3th floor but the staircase is wild enough for big suitcase.
We also had diner in the restaurant and we were please with the menu.
